#DemDebate quiet out of respect for Paris attacks (or boredom)

All three remaining Democratic candidates for the presidency received loud rounds of applause as each was introduced before Saturday night’s #DemDebate, but the debate was otherwise a very subdued affair at first. What’s the word we’re looking for? Boring? There was, of course, a moment of silence for the people of Paris. Either of these terms would wake us up in shock.
