Although Dwight Howard decided not to be dealt at the NBA trade deadline, the New Jersey Nets and Portland Trail Blazers were kind enough to workout a deal of their own.

New Jersey has acquired SF Gerald Wallace in return for Mehmet Okur, Shawne Williams and a first-round draft pick.

Gerald Wallace deserves better than New Jersey, no offense @gregbrzozowski. He deserves to go to a winner now.

Will someone please volunteer to break this Gerald Wallace news to my mother? She's going to freak out & I'm too tired to deal with that.

By the way, I maintain that Gerald Wallace is the second most overrated player in the NBA.

As much as I loved Gerald Wallace in Rip City, I love that deal for the Blazers. Now we deal Felton and Crawford, and we've got a future.
