This Kid Brought A Camera To School…And It Just So Happened To Be On 9/11

Where were you on 9/11? For these high schoolers in Fairfax, Virginia, it was just an ordinary day…until it wasn’t.

Between the time the first bell rang and the candlelit memorial service that evening, the world had changed forever. Incredibly, the self-proclaimed “resident filmmaker” of the school caught it all on tape.

The day started out like any other in calculus class at Robinson Secondary School. As the kid behind the camera explains, he was shooting footage of friends “for himself.”

And what’s calculus class without a little fun?!

The kids laughed, joked, and “helped” each other with homework…

…until their teacher, Mr. Perencevich, made an announcement: “Some idiot flew a plane into the World Trade Center.” Little did they know that the horrific events of the day were just beginning to unfold.

As you’ll see from their shocked and confused expressions, the kids didn’t know what to think. At the end of the day, however, they came together to raise American flags and gather donations for victims.
