Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is in New York for meetings at the United Nations. Rouhani addressed the bombings of ISIS and said that the existence of the terrorist group was the result of … well, you might have guessed it by now:

#Terrorism is a global problem, but military action is not the answer. @NewAmerica #RouhaniLive #UNGA

— Hassan Rouhani (@HassanRouhani) September 24, 2014

#ISIS born out of destruction of #Iraq & #Afghanistan–did not exist prior to 2003 & would likely not have come about in absent of invasion.

Whoever had “Bush’s fault” please collect your winnings.

Not trying to cast blame, but to show how essential it is avoid such mistakes in the future. A political solution is essential. #WAVE

#Iran had no doubt in fighting terrorism since day 1. This is while some countries apparently had doubts or delays in countering #ISIS.

Rouhani’s position certainly isn’t unheard of:

This is also the White House's position. https://t.co/0j0ew14xRA

He has joined #UniteBlue @TheDemocrats MT @HassanRouhani: #ISIS born out of destruction of #Iraq & #Afghanistan–did not exist prior to 2003

Maybe Rouhani was auditioning for an MSNBC gig once his Iranian president career comes to a close.

@HassanRouhani @NoahCRothman so true because the middle east was completely peaceful until President Bush was elected.

A lecture from the Iranian president on how to stop terrorism should be taken with a grain of salt:

@Only4RM "The U.S. State Department considers Iran the world's "most active state sponsor of terrorism" http://t.co/M7652iD9bY

— Noah Rothman (@NoahCRothman) September 24, 2014

#Ironic:

.@HassanRouhani saying his government is opposed to terrorism in the Middle East is like Donald Sterling hosting an anti-racism conference

Shorter headline:

Terrorism stakeholder bemoans an innovative uber of terrorism. http://t.co/OsDHQGPn4j
