We'll be live-tweeting the President's speech on @Obama2012—follow along for the latest.

President Obama: "In today’s economy, there is no greater predictor of individual success than a good education" #ObamaUNC #DontDoubleMyRate
— White House Live (@WHLive) April 24, 2012
Huh. That’s weird. Candidate Obama didn’t seem to think so in 2007.
So @BarackObama didn't even bother to vote on his #DontDoubleMyRate plan when it came before the Senate in '07 http://t.co/x3JWbt4A

A little class warfare, as always.
Without mentioning Mitt Romney by name, Pres Obama says he didn't have to be briefed about student loans. "We been in your shoes," he said.
— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) April 24, 2012
Obama says he & Michelle "got poor together" when they got married and were paying off big student loans. The contrast is implicit.
— HowardKurtz (@HowardKurtz) April 24, 2012
POTUS: "Now check this out, I'm the president of the United States…We only finished paying off our student loans about 8 years ago"
— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) April 24, 2012
There is the “fearsomely expensive” lifestyle again! Try cutting down on swanky vacations, dinners and clothing like everyone else does.
Pres Obama urges college student to help him prevent interest rates on federal student loans from "shooting up and shaking you down,.,,"
— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) April 24, 2012
Uh-oh. That’s not very new tone-y what with the violent rhetoric and all. Next he’ll be asking them to “get in their faces.”
The President is quite inspirational as well. If by inspirational, one means inspiring divisiveness.
President Obama telling room full of college students that 'some people' think they're lazy. How inspiring. Hope. Change.

But, Jesus!
"Can I get an amen for that," Pres Obama implores his audience to agree with his approach to the economy and student loans.
— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) April 24, 2012
This is just the first of several pandering speeches aimed at college students on Obama’s schedule. The #doublemyrate student loan stuff is nonsense and such policies would raise the cost of education? Whatever! As long as Obama gets their sweet, sweet votes. While the White House claims it is official business, even some in the media can’t hide the truth: Full campaign mode on our dime.
Pres Obama's has all the overtones of a campaign trip: visiting 3 battleground states & reaching out to young people.
— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) April 24, 2012
But the WH insists the president's trip is official, paid for in full by taxpayers.

From NC, Pres heads to Univ of Colorado in Boulder for another student loan speech. On to Univ of Iowa tomorrow.
— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) April 24, 2012
Obama is proposing #dontdoublemyrate hash tag and Sandra Fluke has already hopped on that absurd bandwagon. Y’all know what to do. Hijack. Hijack like the wind! The Obama campaign will never learn, will they?
BREAKING: Obama just announced a new hash tag: #DontDoubleMyRate. Annnnnddddd…..go!
