[Music] thank you [Music] yo what’s up peoples what’s up YouTube people combo Community welcome to CBS on Friday at 4C with East West I’m your guy joke I feel I know I feel excited I feel I feel happy well it’s because I what I showed you earlier yeah show the people show the people at home you know what it is yeah I send the link to Broski this is keys I don’t want to be an [ __ ] I look basically it’s not a good angle of the way you can see because my wire doesn’t let me go all the way but I got a new glasses Kate on this display for my Batman Black and Whites uh only non-batman figure I got is uh Joker and I have a bad girl too but the Batgirl and that’s my new Statue up there that’s a 12-inch uh incuber so yeah definitely man excited happy about that so yeah yeah guys welcome welcome man I am guy Joker yeah like I said this is this is this guy yeah you want to see what I got in what’s you guys some more Connors no although that is happening okay okay let me highlight you go ahead I don’t even highlight myself what what the hell is that what is that so can you hear me yeah yeah you can hear you hang on hang on let me let me adjust here so what this is for you card collectors out there you’ll know who this person is so Rudy from alpha Investments he commissioned uh Sue Ellen Brown who’s done magic cards before to uh a special Arabian Nights play mat which this play mat is like 24 by 48 it’s like three times the size of a normal play mat but Arabian Nights is my favorite Magic card set of all time okay it was 379 bucks for this which I’m gonna get it framed right people already have them on eBay for like 700.
Where are you gonna frame that at where are you gonna put it at I’m gonna put it right above oh you have space right here no I don’t Something’s Gonna Get that’s gonna have to get moved oh okay um but I absolutely love it it’s it for all the people who played back then or no Arabian nights they’re almost like every Arabian Nights card is like somehow figured into the design so I like it a lot of stuff going on again this week Mike yeah on video games again you know yeah I saw some games that dropped one was either yesterday or today it was uh what was the name of that [ __ ] it was something um armor core armor core six yeah well they showed a trailer because games on is going on right now they’re showing a lot of the Mortal Kombat one [ __ ] played the Mortal Kombat 1 demo I’m almost done with Zelda finally I’m playing Boulder’s Gate three loving it star field right around the corner Mortal Kombat right around the corner Lords of the Fallen right around the corners Spider-Man right around the corner two Mario games right around the corner Assassin’s Creed are on the corner so much around the corner it’s [ __ ] crazy right now bro and did you watch Ahsoka I did watch Ahsoka Ahsoka Tano uh yo really really dope dope show give me your yeah give me your quick thoughts and then I’ll give you my quick thoughts you know um I’m not I’m not like on the Star Wars [ __ ] you know what I’m saying like I don’t know everything on when it comes to Star Wars Universe like I like big so peanuts no no you could say like Josh that’s fine anyway like I said man yo I I I enjoyed it man I really liked it um I did get some of the Mandalorian feeling which I didn’t get that at all you don’t want to say chapter this and chapter that or whatever okay okay you know what I’m saying um yeah and I’m not so familiar with these characters as much you know um but I like it I’m digging it um I know it has something to do uh I had like some Easter eggs when it came to the what is it the Star Wars or the animation uh yeah like Rebels and Clone Wars yep which is pretty cool or whatever so um you know first two episodes first episode was badass and she was dope uh the scenes were awesome um I it’s just I really like Rosario Dawson I like as actors I like her as his character um I think this is this is there’s a character that you’re gonna see plenty of for a long time um and just bring warm I love it I love it man I want more I want more what you thought of it well I really like both episodes and honestly I think that Rosario Dawson is the weakest part of the of the whole thing really I swear to God I think so because and then and when I say that I’m not saying that she’s doing a bad job but I’ve said this before where I have a hard time getting past seeing it as Ahsoka in live action it’s more so as Rosario Dawson dressed up playing cosplay as Ahsoka there’s it it just I’m not saying it’s bad you know all you people out there oh I think it’s a mean because no no ready to crucify me like she’s doing a bad job no but it doesn’t match to me how Ahsoka is as a character in the cartoons she’s very in live action she doesn’t talk very much her just like her movements aren’t the same like the girl that plays Sabine and the girl that plays hella like those characters are pretty much spot on to me with their with their counterparts in in Clone Wars and Rebels obviously they don’t sound exactly the same but they’re but they act the same Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka does not act like Ahsoka and I don’t know if it’s the face or the voice that doesn’t match but it’s more so of her actions like she’s just too she’s playing it too serious and I understand Ahsoka and Rebels was serious but she she still had a you know this this this drive behind her even if it was anger or whatever it’s just it doesn’t match to me that being said I don’t even think she has that big of a part in the whole series I think Sabine so far has a big they should have called the show Sabine if you ask me but the show is still [ __ ] awesome it’s so much better than the Mandalorian and and Boba the book of boba by a mile they should just give Dave filoni Star Wars I know him and favro have it but I I don’t know John Favreau why I like some of the stuff some of the stuff the choices he makes I just I don’t get um this is 100 a Dave filoni story and spoilers to people who haven’t seen it or potential spoilers I should say there is no doubt in my mind that that Inquisitor is Ezra there is no doubt about it and that’s going to be awesome even that it’s most likely that is what’s going to happen yeah pretty good show man um but like I said man me not knowing anything about Rebels and Clone Wars and all that stuff um to me I felt like I said like I said before I felt like she did a good job you know was already done so no but that’s because I’m not familiar with the character itself you know yeah but yeah man it just seems like a different um Ahsoka it it it’s obviously more mature right this is but it’s not even more mature because she’s more mature in Rebels it’s just it’s it it doesn’t sync up like it’s it’s almost like a a completely different Ahsoka um and and you know I don’t want to hear from people well that’s because it is well it isn’t because it’s continuing the same story um the other thing the other really cool thing uh you know the two Fallen Jedi Ray Stevenson obviously so sad that he died but like just filoni just knows how to do like like the bad guys just awesome like awesome that little that chick that’s with him freaking dope little side character I like how their Sabers are orange like I don’t know I do like that character what is that character’s name I didn’t cast the character’s name Ray Stevenson or the girl so the girl the girl I the girl is chin hottie or something like that yeah she’s about ass yeah yeah and he’s he’s bailing skull uh uh yes skull I think um but I like how their Sabers are orange and I don’t know if this is what it’s supposed to be this is me just kind of assuming how it’s kind of like their fallen Jedi and they’re not all the way to the dark side but they’re like almost there like their Sabers aren’t fully red they’re just kind of orange and yes I know that has to do with the kyber Crystal but it has to do with infusing yourself into the Crystal and da da da da um yeah just a lot of Easter eggs obviously with uh uh uh hu Yang being in it which is like a real kind of throwback with David Tennant uh voicing hu Yang and um uh uh who else was in it obviously thrawn’s gonna be I don’t know I just I just like it I like it so far it’s really good I don’t know how people are giving it like sevens I thought it was great yeah um definitely guys uh guys if you want to hear some more talk about this uh check out coffin Comics Sunday morning I know big is going to be talking about it then um I’m sure Josh should be up there he’ll be up he’s an early bird so you know he’ll be there um respawn because they know he was doing the spawn covers right he’s been on him in a minute yeah okay all right we go next uh grim13 um this book is so hard for me to remember from book to book what exactly is going on I know you know Jessica is now taking over death’s job and her mother is kind of in play and is having a dealing with um light or like the good guy whatever the god of good is it’s not God it’s I forget what it is life or something I think it is yeah I think it’s life and death um but it’s just I don’t know it’s not it reminded me a lot of knock Terror where it started out the gate so strong and it’s just faltering you know we’re not heading anywhere it’s not heading somewhere quick enough yeah um is that Kazi zoo let’s cause yeah yeah um yeah man and Grim was one of those stories that I thought it was pretty cool it seems like they kind of like it’s kind of like taking a long time for each Fisher to come out Mama [Music] not really I think it’s like a month yeah a month in between maybe a month and a week or so okay all right well yeah I’m I’m far behind I think I’m like three issues four issues behind this I don’t know what’s going on in the Newark so uh yeah I don’t know I might just jump in and see I’m not gonna catch up the other thing is you know and I I don’t know why this is like uh uh this shouldn’t come as a shocker to comic book people but if your covers don’t stimulate people yeah on top of the read yeah people aren’t gonna buy them and when all your covers look the same week in and week out or issue in issue out it gets boring I’m sorry even when the book is really good it’s boring and that’s and Grimm’s covers are all the same they’re all the same as a matter of fact I would argue that boom’s covers are all the same yeah oh yep something is killing the children um it’s nice that we’ll get to uh uh copies of of the same cover again uh just go to one cover I’m kind of I was kind of thinking today I’m like when is this gonna end something is killing his children I don’t think it makes it past issue 40.
yeah uh, talking about um covers some you know being the same this is one of them too man um the B, not the A yeah though with the same font where it’s at and I don’t know it’s just it’s kind of similar you know but uh it’s it’s whatever you know like you said I think it’s just something with boom Studios is you know what they’re doing um with that you don’t have no idea what those reveals are no I’m assuming it’s like a spoiler maybe yeah no they just kind of come late always okay all right the one is 25 I’m winning 50.
Me okay Batman Beyond Neo Gothic number three you know I’m gonna have to say I’m gonna have to eat my words two weeks in a row number one didn’t like it didn’t like it didn’t like it okay number two loved it and and you’ve got the court of owls coming in oh yeah and the last page of number two is just really dope so I’ll give you a little bit of the setup there’s kind of two stories going on at once okay the main story that you care about is with with uh with um uh Batman Beyond and whatever this cat thing is I no I forget its name it’s like a cat that can cast magic now I don’t know if that’s a character from previous Batman Beyond [ __ ] that I just don’t recognize I I think it’s a new character though but anyway they’re looking for these missing kids like down underground and they find basically this kind of like Labyrinth type thing that’s protected by Killer Croc except like he’s like like Godzilla like Killer Croc not that big but he’s he’s massive he’s like mutated and he says something to the effect of like the tomb is closed and he says something else and Terry figures out that wait a minute Bruce built this and put crack there basically as a guard dog to guard something and it’s the court of owls wow okay so it yeah it was really cool yeah it sounds though man it’s good to see that band Beyond getting some good stories man um I mean but it’s then again there’s only the first couple issues so you know we don’t want to fix it man and I really like the uh the cover of issue too dude ah okay okay you know like look how big Croc is there and here the last panel I think is just dope those BLC okay my vowels there we go man next whoo are the owls yeah definitely man was a great storyline Batman for nothing soon so I’m about to see that bambien is getting you know tied in with that yeah these two covers are not good nah this cover is cool though you should have kept the stage cover yeah uh okay so here we go with DC okay everything rebooting except I think Batman I think Batman I could be wrong but I think Batman is still gonna continue its numbering sequence but literally I think everything else is restarting so that’s why flash is up here uh you’ve got a new Flash number what no no flash number one who’s writing this um size Spurrier wow which wasn’t he writing it before and I don’t know honestly speaking I don’t know oh wait I got Broski’s here what’s up bro give me a what yeah let’s bring in another guy between him and peanut two guys don’t read any [ __ ] books I’m just [ __ ] here yo what’s up broski it’s been a minute man it’s been like three years hey you took over I left [ __ ] it’s all good though I ain’t tripping all right so what’s this uh so Wally West races towards the future with All-Star new creative team size for your Mike diadato Jr Wally West has never been quicker more fulfilled more heroic his loving family is around him and yet something is off very off his evolving understanding of his powers has opened Wally to new avenues the Sci-Fi adventure and attuned his senses to strange new ideas something Whispers from dark vibrations beyond the speed force and as Wally experiments with creative new approaches to his power he encounters New Realms mysterious allies and mind-shattering Terrors a new era for the Charlotte Speedster begins now from the team of size Spurrier and Mike deodato Jr you didn’t need to repeat that twice yeah yeah I can read paragraphs too just to let you know Mike d’adano’s doing the Interiors yeah wow okay wow that that’s that’s I mean I’ve I’ve been like I haven’t heard that before you know when’s the last time I did that with the Interiors I don’t know when’s the last time Mike deodato did anything he did like yeah for a few years yeah wow but that’s good to have him back man I really like his art Mike uh the Raza cover is pretty cool yeah it is yeah but the rest of them are the Dan Moore one is okay too yes then more one is good that’s classic yeah for some reason I I see that Rose batch is giving that the the Scotty young Vibes over here in DC or whatever yeah right yeah I I feel like DC is so down on their covers right now for the most part A lot of them are samey they’ve got a lot of new artists I’m just not digging it yeah all right moving on yeah yeah right Nightwing 106.
um, I don’t even remember where we’re picking up and this is what I hate about doing it you know uh events that span literally everything because the break is so you know long enough where I forget everything like I I don’t even remember what happened in Nightwing except that you know it’s basically another Titan’s book yeah I know the last time I read um Nightwing I think I read was the first person view one that’s right that’s I’m assuming that was 105.
And I don’t even remember what that was about the story I forgot to but it was pretty badass though it was good man I really enjoyed that book um that issue okay what’s up with this one uh Nightwing goes nautical sail the high seas with Nightwing and Batgirl as they journey across the ocean in search of the whole secret society that dates back to when bloodhaven was founded we saw previously in Nightwing 99 that the holds Vault held several saves and here we’ll find out there has always been one left for Nightwing I don’t remember that at all in issue 99 I thought issue 99 was the one with uh night bite or bite night or whatever he’s called no I I honestly like I said last I recall was that first uh person’s view uh whatever um Redondo doing eight covers love it again man because I think he started doing variants or yeah you would come on and off but like he always does something different which I appreciate you know yeah definitely man like you have to tell the story on your cover most of the time you can’t just do it like you know like to me this tells no story to me this tells a little bit about the upcoming story you know [Music] all right well 106 Nightwing get it yeah penguin number two this is only on here because we didn’t uh I think penguin one was on during terrificon so we were oh really one of our off weeks I think so yeah this is Tom King yeah this is all about penguin trying to take back the Gotham under underworld uh you know since he faked his death and yeah you know all that [ __ ] you’re gonna read it all right no no all right um yeah yo this is a book I I I I don’t know whether I forgot or I just I’m looking at it now for some I’m seeing it I would like to read it man I like to read Tom Taylor um um his depiction on on this character on on penguin you know I don’t know if this is main line I don’t know this might not be what do you think is that else World it I don’t know nonetheless I still want to read it it sounds interesting miniseries yeah okay who’s the ball guy right there is that Lexus that’s what I thought yeah yeah it looks like I think so okay interesting all these covers are cool a little dark a little scary on that one in 25 pretty dope but I got like a better Vibe type [ __ ] I Will Smith the [ __ ] from The Grotto oh [ __ ] Power Girl number one um hmm okay yeah I mean um yeah this was a mica cover this has been up for a while people have been talking about this one really yeah um for a while I thought it was going to be an exclusive to her store but obviously it’s not um it’s okay don’t get me wrong I’m not digging it like you know some of her other covers and I was kind of let down when somebody put me onto it he’s like oh did you see the the social Micah Power Girl cover I’m like no but send me that [ __ ] cause I’m sure it’s dope and it it’s fine don’t get me wrong I think I think honestly speaking that cover would have been sold up if it was three covers and that would have been a one in 10 or 125.
Yeah and I just think I don’t know like I just think the lower part of her body is just there’s something off and I can’t really she’s asking big enough I know I think it is I don’t think it’s the lower structure I think it’s the jacket no the jacket I I kind of throws me off to the jack a little bit Yeah like a thriller by yeah it says when she started wearing jackets I mean then again I don’t know nothing about Parker I haven’t heard bluetooth’s coming well maybe she maybe she just cut her Cape you know oh true and yeah you know what’s crazy though I like it isn’t that this is a Maki whatever the [ __ ] [ __ ] is they should do like yeah yeah she didn’t do some Vampirella coverage yes Teriyaki for me to seen her do a few work of that it would have been nice to see uh uh like Amanda Connors or one of these variants yeah I still like it though like I like this I like it too but like why do we have to do a zoomed in one and a you know [Laughter] yeah I know what you’re talking about like like just pick one or the other I mean don’t have no like uh David seeking Newman’s favorite camel toe right yeah right I seen that video last night but he has some I like his reminds me more of um Harley Quinn no like well kind of with this background yes but um it kind of like I mean the character drawing kind of reminds me more of the new 52 Power Girl okay all right it’s just I don’t know it looks more like that to me than obviously any of this and then you go don’t get it twisted real quick man that John Boy Myers don’t sleep on that cover too that covers [ __ ] dope too on the beat Cover oh yeah yeah yeah yeah and obviously the you know these will they’re not virgins they they do have uh attacks on them yeah it’s just I don’t have they didn’t put the uh the jpegs up uh Superman number six uh Superman annual came out and um I only read I’m digging it yeah I only read part of it and I don’t really even remember what was oh yeah that’s right it had like Lois Lane was like is basically like in charge of the Daily Planet now or something I didn’t get I didn’t read all the other stories so I don’t know what happened but I know I know I know Jimmy Olsen and so what is the silver Banshee the the couple right yeah yeah and I remember that part yeah uh but I’m I gotta keep on reading this um you know these couples I mean you’re gonna read the synopsis or not uh I can I mean I don’t know if you wanted to you know I guess I can just because we’re returning from a long break after that um new story arc starts here first appearance uh yeah first appearance of a new Superman villain the chained part one following the shocking Cliffhanger of Superman 5 in the events of night terror Superman has learned that Lex Luthor kept a prisoner beneath Striker’s Island for decades who are they and why did Lex lock them up because Superman unlock the secrets of the chained featuring guest artist gleb melnikov you know what man um and I’m starting to remember now with some man with them how um parasite and all that stuff started on issue one or whatever I really enjoyed it I’m liking it so uh it’s like you said before the events every time when I’m on when they throw events they throw you the [ __ ] off because they do like a three-month Gap without yeah yeah we’re talking about third day when Batman Batman been out has been up for a minute I thought they canceled well they didn’t cancel they ended it but yeah after they had a night terrors so kind of like prolonged yeah I’m starting to remember a little by little and I mean I was enjoying this me and Josh was talking about this we liked this and we always mentioned that Josh mentioned it like you know uh give us a good Superman song You Know Arc and you know they have so far from the first couple issues a few issues um so with the two doctors Dr farm and his brother or whatever yeah give give us a good Superman uh book and we’ll read it Biggs won’t but we will oh [ __ ] oh okay these are cool kind of like a retro some Style Superman I like it yeah man of steel yeah I like it so is this what is this from uh uh one of his movies or something I don’t know I don’t know like just like the background or it kind of almost looks like an old like like Konami video game too that’s true true yeah nice no no you know what it is is it [ __ ] is it Street Fighter I don’t know is that a street fighter homage can I can it be I don’t know I mean you tell me what it reminds me of Street Fighter it’s a cut like bison in the background bison yes I mean the Hat yes but I remember for some reason guile yeah I swear this this is bison you know what you’re gonna try to find you’re gonna bump into that [ __ ] later I’m like yeah this is what I was talking about Titan’s number three um and again I didn’t think I’d catch myself reading this and I like this and of course they had to go on a break like you can’t go on a break when a new freaking like how can you come out with two issues and then go on a break Watchmen for that just hold off on the [ __ ] issue one and that’s it you know right because this was actually a pretty good story you know the whole thing with uh with uh Wally being dead but he’s not dead it’s a future Wally yeah that’s dope like that Team cover cool cool Wonder Woman number one all those bash covers huh she’s doing them for the whole freaking yeah DC that’s the Wonder Woman starts over after issue 900 but don’t worry you’ll get issue a thousand one day 12.99 book this is Tom King yeah the Amazon Warrior is now a wanted Outlaw a new era for the Amazon Warrior begins from the Superstar team of Tom King and Danielle stampere after a mysterious Amazonian is accused of mass murder Congress passes the Amazon safety act barring all Amazons from U.S soil to carry out their plans the government starts a task force the Amazon extradition uh entity Acts to remove those who don’t comply by any means necessary now in our search for the truth behind the killing wonder woman finds herself an outlaw in the world she once swore to protect uh writer Tom King and Superstar artist in the making Daniel stampere joined forces for this action-packed relaunch in the beginning of what will undoubtedly become a groundbreaking run on the character um the eight covers basically the interior artist um it looks good I like it I like it I like a couple of these covers not these two but there’s more but these two pretty cool really yeah really nice and even though dark German is known to be like a you know same thing yeah but that’s nice and what else we got oh Bank nice yeah that F copper foil [ __ ] is five yeah four colors though the Tigers is dope yeah this is dope you’re right latest covers even the black and white though I ain’t gonna spend 100 on this thing right and then we get to good books with bad covers so in continuing in the fine tradition of let’s do blade so dirty and you know blades Offspring so dirty that beat covers the street fighters See Fire attack for sure yeah right so many of the mix terrible [ __ ] covers terrible yeah that eight couple what the [ __ ] is going on that looks the best at all of them like what I don’t understand too is how you don’t take your Beast or C or lower stories and throw really good artists on the cover just to entice people in because the story which only issue one is come out I I liked it it hadn’t it hooked me um but the art is just not like the interior inferior is good one in 25.
I have no idea what this one in 25 well the interior art is Elena Casa Grande which it’s not great it kind of reminds me very similar to Bloodline to daughter of Blade it’s very similar it’s that same kind of style okay yeah so no it ain’t great it ain’t bad but like what is this yes I don’t know man honestly speaking but come on don’t get ahead of yourself Yo play such a dope character you gotta have your you gotta you gotta have your best artists and your best writers on this character you know I wouldn’t even say you have to have your best writer but you like yeah you have to get a good artist on it you know yeah definitely been in verse number two second print um pretty cool second print even though this was a variant it was just in purple yeah uh but the red is much better uh the whole kid Venom it did nothing so uh you know it didn’t go for any more than cover but cool cover yeah yeah it is cool cover and just segment I mean segments are is amazing it’s just that’s too simple it’s just recycling [ __ ] we’re from segments cool and death of the Venom first five I’m not reading this so I I know null is about to face off against Carnage obviously this is you know not the main universe so I don’t know what is exactly going on I don’t really care um cover though cool Baron’s cover so this is not a continuity no I don’t think so separate oh okay okay yeah I like that I like that cover that’s pretty cool yeah I want to cover like and the Barons yeah the Barons one is dope okay damn these are these covers are pretty cool too I don’t know about that big ass chest no you said yeah stigmund is the same as that 125 but Venom you see that [ __ ] like you said well he’s been doing that for a while with the with the other cars I don’t know yeah but the gelato ones I’m telling you all these I hate connecting covers yeah it’s just not a fan of it number one and number two um all the ones he’s done like don’t get me wrong the r works good but it’s all like washed out like they’re all like washed out covered like he’s done so much better work and there’s something coming up that’s really dope of his so not a fan of these at all and there’s no reason to do two one in fifties on every single issue and just have that another 150 be the version of the one in ten gelato not needed yeah nope okay so here we go The Immortal Thor number two I just finished mortal Thor number one and it was three quarters and I’d even say seven eighths of the book are your typical how every Thor story starts I mean literally how every Thor movie starts how every Thor book starts which is oh this is Thor and you know here’s some freaking ice giants and here’s yours friends and here’s Thor’s friends talking to the ice giants about how they’re gonna kill them and then Here Comes Thor and kills them and then Here Comes Loki which Loki in this one is a girl at the present moment okay although he does say god and goddess which Loki technically can do but he’s a girl at this point um so he you know Loki rebuilds the Rainbow Bridge and then Thor flies to Earth and is basically he’s the all-father now again and he just kind of like calls out to a storm and this thing responds to him which is what the [ __ ] what the [ __ ] now I I can guarantee you that this has been used previously because I was getting the feeling that this story has been kind of not been told before but these characters have been used before and Al Ewing is coming back to them yeah it’s the oot guard Thor so it’s pretty dope I mean he is pretty dope looking oh [ __ ] okay yeah [ __ ] pirate basically it’s like it’s like dark versions of of the Gods like in utgar yeah um like there’s like a Dark Gaia and a dark Loki now the cool thing is though he does mention black winter that’s where I thought it was going I’m like oh [ __ ] here comes black winter you never know you never know and you never know hopefully but look at this oh [ __ ] okay gelato all right yeah right that was pretty dope yeah yeah 125.
