all right we’re live this is uh salesman Flipside Monday night show um uh we got Marvel stock we got a nice marker report uh I think we have some pickups uh we’re gonna talk about uh some movie spec I guess things that are happening in the movies right now and um let’s let’s get it started so here we go [Music] all right uh let’s do I gotta do some free publicity here in the beginning right there oh foreign it’s only two weeks away Saturday August 26th flip side Comic Con Riverside Brewing Company I have maybe 15 vendors now I’m getting more and more requests every day as as the con gets closer I’m kind of nervous I hope I have enough spots for people but we’re gonna make it happen yeah I’m not worried about a dude I really don’t I think that’s the weather like man bring some tents yeah so we could do it so we could set some people outside I just hate doing that it’s it could be hot as [ __ ] or something but anyways um no we can do it it’s all good um they had a little art show like a craft thing and they had like 40 tables in there but I mean it wasn’t like eight by ten sections it was like you know like yeah what’d you call it like UAW Halls like kind of like you kind of got like a two foot section yeah whatever we got to make it work you gotta make it work uh and then what else we’re gonna talk about uh that and the only thing else I gotta talk about is I think don’t call me I I love people so I just want to make sure I get it right I think it’s uh join the channel you give me dirty Clipper for 99 cents some a month a buck a month you can’t beat that uh uh you get early access to videos you get chats like like our boy Justin here uh and it’s a buck a month um I think 21 people are already on so that’s cool I appreciate it uh and then yeah I’ll give it back to the channel you know I mean I don’t really care about all this so uh give it back to the channel we’ll buy some cool stuff I’ll give it away that’s all I got I just want to uh two reps um here we go comic book news so uh can’t entertain them it will be getting a comic accurate suit for his portrayal of Gambit in Deadpool three so it’s finally happening this is the most flip-floppy book ever right 266 people thought it was like the next coming of uh the Savior and then it was dropped and then it was hot then it was dropped was that like does that was that rumor back when Magic Mike one came out or before then oh dude it’s been for 10 years yeah it was like in the GPS I remember it was like before yeah yeah probably then this guy’s always been wanting chanting all over the Tatum of Gambit yes so uh oh yeah I don’t know he could do the southern thing he’d be I think he’d be a good Gambit I like him and uh I like him in a lot of stuff uh I think you think Deadpool 3 just makes fun of him you think Ryan Reynolds just makes fun of him probably very likely I dude I doubt it because I don’t think Tatum would like kind of like put up I don’t I don’t think he’d sign up for that and it’s really a good um I don’t know I think I think he’s a good don’t don’t real X-Men fans like Gambit I do I love gaming the cartoon I think it could be a throwaway funny Cameo you saw him in that uh World’s End when he just plays the [ __ ] he can be goofy as well yeah well yeah I’m saying he could do it I I I’m agreeing with you that he can do it I just don’t think they’d do it like I don’t think they burn up I don’t think they burn him up to be honest and I don’t think they burn up Gambit I don’t think the burning any of these mutant first appearances really you know but I just don’t think it’s going to be a huge thing I think it could be a pretty quick kind of a couple minutes um so who’s can we get some toasts I’ll show you maybe oh sorry that’s a that’s a another person who’s like kind of like um a little time to shine like one of The Insider kind of people okay purple armor okay I mean that makes that makes sense these days you know yeah it does have it on the shirt he’s been wanting to do it a long time he’s a real X-Men fan yeah I think he’s wanted the character for so I mean I guess you never know because it’s it’s freaking it’s Deadpool otherwise we wouldn’t even be having the conversation right well I mean it’s it’s kind of like uh Reynolds wanted to do Deadpool right so maybe he’s just giving Shannon a chance to have his minute yeah I think so too because I think he’s he’s been wanting to do this as long as Ryan Reynolds has wanted to yeah fix his original portrayal of Jeb pool right yeah so I think it maybe it’s just gonna be enough so you’re like see it could have been cool yeah here we got uh before the strikes Kevin reach out to Andrew Garfield about having his Spider-Man appear in a bit of Secret Wars Little Secret Wars update so as the only one or as one of many I doesn’t that say interesting I think I thought the last time we talked about the Spidermans I thought he had like a plan for each one in different movies going forward well I mean yeah well Garfield probably cheaper than Holland but uh man I don’t know doesn’t he get like a lot I sort of noticed it more on the you know his reappearance than when he was actually the Spider-Man doesn’t he seem to get a lot of um a lot of love or gotten a lot of love after the fact for his roles I think he was more either it’s revisionist history or he was more beloved as Spider-Man then I remember him being at the time and a lot of people talk about his acting chops compared to the other one too I haven’t seen that in some forever because I can’t I had to rewatch it again remember I rewatched them all not too long ago with the kids and I think he was the best he had the best at like quipping and like he just was a little sharper you know yeah he felt like the best I don’t know if the best maybe the best Spider-Man part of it you know yeah like he you know because Toby and Boyer was kind of flat even when he kind of did the jokes it wasn’t it wasn’t you know I guess I guess I see Toby as the best Peter Parker I guess in my mind that’s what Peter Parker would be if you don’t come up I know everybody grunts I don’t dislike him it just wasn’t the same and to me Tom Holland’s barely a Peter Parker I don’t know why you know he’s almost like a a different character so that’s that’s a good sign because I think he just got his books today he could be an interesting character though like this Spider-Man could be a good one if they’re gonna if they decide to introduce the black suit that way that’d be fun yeah yeah he he would do a hell of a dark turn I bet the weird okay here’s the thing how I like the black suit and Comics uh it was a cool it was a cool turn at the time you know at 257 time or whenever um uh I don’t know I thought I thought it was cool I it was easier for them to draw like when farline said the worst thing he ever did was do those spaghetti webs because it made all the books light because it took him forever to draw the [ __ ] spider webs yeah and so um I’m wondering how well the all black would necessarily be portrayed like they had to do a lot of scenery style stuff uh to do Venom and Venom was just straight CGI basically right well I don’t know if they beefed it up but like and then you know they didn’t put the spider on his chat she was just insane but well the first uh Toby had a black suit that wasn’t terrible oh okay yeah dude see you just rewatched them I haven’t seen him in so long I even for a while I forgot that um the guy from That 70s Show was [ __ ] Venom yeah I mean the Venom was terrible but the suit for Toby wasn’t bad it wasn’t comic accurate but it wasn’t bad yeah yeah it was it was this one right I could actually get behind this all right I’m totally fine with Garfield coming back and doing a switch up on Spider-Man like I love the way the kid does it but he’s just so you know what I mean you’re gonna do the aw shucks with that dude for eight or nine years yeah you know what I mean he can he can act and even he said he wants to grow up right I mean I know he’s a I know he’s 20 something years old now but yeah it was like it was okay I mean it wasn’t terrible even better now they had to uh add the lines for definition yeah that that was a long time ago yeah there we go God it’s been a long time I’ve literally forgot that happened and it was only what 16 17 years ago yeah wow okay I I think Garfield could be interesting because he’s a little older he he’d give a little maturity to character but not old you know you could do some more of the stories that were a little later in his life and it doesn’t have to be on Chuck’s kid like you said yeah man in 17 years seems like a long time I mean you know he he could be like the the the Mary Jane you know life kind of age at this point you know yeah could be interesting I don’t know we’ll see it could all blow up dancing Toby again that was fun um speaking of Secret Wars um I can’t believe that her Secret Wars in a major role once you once you’re down the suit man it’s just like man this feels good does that means secret Wars is happening sooner than we think like when is that on the Slate two in the three years from now oh my God he wants to stay so far 26.
Dude they take three shots and work out for two days so okay ready so the release date on on drink a bunch of babies blood Audrina Chrome they’re all good to go man yeah but he’s he’s not a naturally big guy he’s got to work out to like get in shape for these movies he’s a smooth guy he’s he’s cut yeah May 7th 2027. yeah but then he then he goes and does Broadway and [ __ ] for a few years and he gets like lean I don’t think it’s that big a deal for this dude I guess he’s not young but he’s on Perpetual team I know also yeah let’s get some CRT in him he’s all good but he’s not that young no I need to look into that the doctor told me no I need a second opinion yeah yeah Mexico yeah Mexico oh no I can pay a doctor who’ll say that that’s fine but my regular doctor was like no yeah uh so yeah some Wolverine it’ll be interesting I you know it’s gonna be fun it’s gonna be fun seeing him in Deadpool it’s gonna be real interesting how it plays out and then what happens afterwards like you said that we’re getting the secret Wars thing what else is the end that people aren’t talking about you know I know the thing just the timeline just drives it’s told write your strike thing so it’s like yeah let’s hope it’s not forever uh oh this one so Craven director JC sander uh says somebody probably doesn’t want me to leave with this but the story is a tragedy when the final recruiters were on this film if you’ve been paying attention you won’t have the feeling that this is going to end great but that’s every Sony movie oh I’m sure it’s gonna start great dude they have to get people to go [ __ ] and see it in the first place yeah I it’s got to be better than orbius yeah I’m saying sadly yeah if Craven killed morbius it might be the best Sony movie ever this is a nice one though this is the one I kept I don’t even know it’s probably like at least a nine God I don’t even poor little just gets thrown into [ __ ] rolls he is just has the worst choices uh so yeah I don’t know man and the thing is the dude I mean he can act I don’t know I was fine with Joker he could have been a fine morbius the story was just [ __ ] yeah the story was [ __ ] and then oh God the villain is you know more first off morby is being not as much of a villain and anti-hero kind of guy or whatever you know he you know he killed the wrong people to start the movie blah blah blah but um honestly yeah I wanted morbius literally wanted morbius for ever and I didn’t even weird things came up at the time so I didn’t see it in the theater which for me for wanting a character that long even if people tell me it sucks that’s just that’s way off for me Craven I’ll be honest man I know I didn’t read his best supposedly best Spider-Man stories I just didn’t I’ve never been this the heaviest Spidey reader um I I re you know I’d get the Zinda trying to find and read all the McFarlane’s when I was a kid I liked the Larson after that and uh uh yeah I’ve just been on and off by these like one I’d always just pick up like a single issue growing up or an annual because they always had annuals and because you could get a spectacular Spider-Man Annual you can get ASM annual you could get he had all these titles so I’d end up reading it you know he had sweet characters named speedball so and always like Venom and Carnage because they were the coolest looking things you could find as a kid even when we all just thought um Carnage was just Red Venom yes which it kind of is but whatever uh too bad woody died I mean but the sad thing is is like for morbius at least the budget was 80 million it made 167 at the box office I mean good luck for craving dude I don’t know I don’t he just when they when they do this with these characters that aren’t in demand and then that are old ones I think I found some Cravings too and that are just old [ __ ] characters well well it’s funny is you speak of this and like it feels like every article I read about Blue Beetle is it’s going to be terrible performance oh it’s gonna over perform oh it’s gonna be awful I just saw Blue Beetle toys at my local uh Target so I mean they got it rolling out there at least I don’t know what their expectation is like I’ve literally read every article seems to go the other way of this is going to be a flop this is going to be a win this is gonna it’s funny yeah I don’t know I don’t know I think it’s I don’t I kind of like the commercials I like the DC stuff better than other people do anyway I’m gonna drag at least a couple kids to it I don’t know if I’ll get through all three of them but I’m like I’ll go see it I’ll go spend a few bucks on it yeah it’s in IMAX at the hotel in Vegas I’m staying at this weekend and like I don’t know I probably want to beat traffic on Sunday or just not sit in the sit in the car like that but I might consider Blue Beetle this kind of cool craving book I think I’m gonna grade this one good old um Spidey 111 but this is really also really high this is a warehouse book I forgot probably 10 years ago I just started digging out digging out some old spideys and stuff and this is a time to grade a craven I think so no and it’s higher grade otherwise I wouldn’t do it uh uh the last thing I got is I have a nice website here so I’m kind of kind of do I want to do both here um so the models a lot of promo on the Marvels um it’s not this we can raise it next weekend it’s coming out soon I mean it was a ton of press uh 23 when’s it oh November 10th so it’s two months away um but it’s a lot of press they had this still shot just came out um let me uh let’s see where I’m at here um then they have all this stuff so they have this still this is kind of I wouldn’t I’m not gonna read it all but it’s uh you know just just different stills of the whole uh you know of the movie funny entertaining action’s great so maybe it’s more of a comedy based uh and I mean I think they’re trying to Market to that Barbie hype and just try and sell it as a as a you know a movie for females to go out and see because it’s an audience that’s been kind of under represented in movies like as far as going to see them yeah it’s you know it they probably it’s probably why Barbie’s done so well is there haven’t been many movies that women want to go see it’s usually us like let’s go see the Marvel movie The Star Wars movie the action movie The you know whatever I I don’t know I mean if you want to read this listen I don’t disagree it could be a bomb I’m just saying I think that’s where they’re turning the marketing all of a sudden and this for anybody who wants to read this this is on a total film did a uh did a uh like a five-page spread on this or something so yeah I just think they’re changing their their marketing strategy on it a bit maybe yeah that’s I mean that’s a good point I mean it’s uh I mean they’re trying to hit it with this female-led movie um I don’t I don’t know it wasn’t necessarily an overall hit we know to be honest Captain Marvel was sort of a flop man like as far as as far as the reception and I think that’s the one place they sort of fell flat I think they should have introduced her um in a Solo movie a lot longer before uh infinity war and end game yeah because some people miss that movie and they’re like wait a sec who’s this coming in here like it was I like I like that they tried to pull it off it just didn’t it didn’t work that way and I actually the the times I’ve seen Captain Maria is in a bad mood the first time I saw it but I liked it better the other times that I’ve seen it um we haven’t seen too much of Monica Rambo yet uh I I’m not I’m I don’t know or remember her comedy chops on here um and uh definitely for Miss Marvel on uh Miss Marvel on Disney was definitely uh billed as somewhat of a comedy not necessarily A comedy but with lots of humor I guess I don’t know how to say that but uh so there’s a lot with that and I and I thought it was funny I actually liked it I liked it I liked the I liked the show a lot of people gave it too much hate man I don’t remember 1.13 yeah oh God I want to have that went to a quarter of that I mean none of them are doing that no this is interesting because we just had the theory right and it’s a laid back more seeing more laid-back fun Fury again he’s just saying well like he was real funny Captain Marvel yeah I I don’t know it’s interesting that uh you know they they have Miss Marvel on ABC now trying to get some more audience into it I uh I just watched uh speaking of movies going back in the time Bowl I just watched in the last the latest Guardians of the Galaxy uh it was it was okay I mean it was it was fine it was dark yeah I didn’t like Adam Warlock that much it just made him he was like just diamonds just didn’t make sense well they said when he got it I mean if you go back to the comics though when you got out of the Cocoon too early he was not quite ready right yeah yeah oh yeah this was great too um yeah that’s that’s I watched this actually you should watch it like you’ll love it they clone Tyrone on Netflix I got yeah if you saw it coming I saw the first 15 minutes and I was like oh I’m I’m in yeah and it was kind of like a turn it on like background thing and the reason I turned it off because I was like oh I’m actually gonna like this yeah yeah so I was like I actually want to [ __ ] sit and watch it maybe I’ll do this Jamie Foxx says wonders in that movie too so yeah um so yeah that’s all I that’s all I really got this week I don’t you know we’re in kind of dog days since everything’s on strike so we’re just trying to find things around the interwebs yeah and that’s not gonna get any easier with the strikes so well I agree Justin it’s it it’s it’s gonna be bad for a minute hopefully they can I I don’t know I heard somebody say the theory is honestly they’re probably just have to blow up everything and and kind of do like with the expert just start freaking fresh because when you blow out the main characters all at once which is what we needed yeah now we are living on second and third tier characters through most of this and that’s why we’re talking about Spider-Man and Wolverine again is we’re like I just hope they don’t do the Batman Superman thing because that’s the problem they can fall into right guys it’s like they’re gonna recast Iron Man and what are they gonna do like it’s the same Iron Man origin story with a younger person you know like what do you I mean yeah like Captain America I mean the problem is it’s like they didn’t just do one movie they did four movies with each main character which I get because they were making a crap ton of money but you kind of blew everything off for like a relaunch or recaster it’s gonna be a minute I I don’t know we’ll we’ll see maybe maybe DC gets a little a little stand because if they could use some of their characters in a different way it could be interesting um I heard from black beetle at least um I Heard uh Batista wanted to make do Bane from um I’ve heard that a lot Batista doing Bane yeah God there he did being so well yeah I don’t know I like Tom Hardy in anything he’s mine that’s fine I just I like [ __ ] Venom I don’t care anybody says he just wasn’t like amazing oh dude I don’t know man that movie was pretty I think I’ve ever seen he lives behind the Joker is a problem you know you do oh okay well sure like I honestly not the Joker or they keep well but okay he also went after freaking lease him as [ __ ] uh Raj you know yeah he was a tough crowd of the three villains maybe his character was good job I just think there was a lot I’m [ __ ] silly and Murphy like that that Universe was stacked yeah there was not a week there was not a weak villain performance in there you know um I think he kind of gets left behind what gun villain announcements have we had I don’t know that much yeah I don’t think we have much either I don’t think they want to announce that yet no I don’t think I mean they got they got the Superman Legacy one do we do we talk about that so yeah well they had people but it wasn’t oh we got Brands so we got Brainiac um the rest of it was Heroes right yeah Heroes yeah no no real villains yeah so we’ll see yeah all right you ready and I do think they should just stay I mean you gotta stay sort of with what works you know rather than go out on a limb you know let the characters be the character it’s just it like you guys said it’s really hard when they burn when they burn the First characters you know well DC in DC’s at least DC’s a little different the first ones you play is safe and then you can like for if they you know if somebody does you know if Superman goes the ball you could do Superman too and get a little crazy or Batman too and do you know little you know yeah yeah I mean just do the good characters but you know try to try to do new stories you know if they’re gonna do Court of owls we all we’re all down to see that you know or hush we all want to see that so um Dave got it out there you know people that came ahead already wrote the stories we don’t need too many new words and stories that’s what the that’s one of the only I want to see Blue Beetle I’m going to see Blue Beetle the only one of the only reasons is that it’s not making me give as much of a [ __ ] it’s like it’s like all origin stories are the same kind of is this going to be that different is this gonna be that different you know um I don’t know I think it looks good I don’t know I like the actors and actresses in it so that’s me though yeah I don’t I don’t think it’s going to be amazing as far as it’s an origin story or not but in the grand scheme of things 98 of the world there’s 99.9 world doesn’t know who Blue Beetle is yeah exactly you kind of have to give him a little bit of an origin yeah and he’s the dude from Karate Kid that’s what everybody that’s what I thought maybe that’s why he would have a little more uh of behind him or maybe they will I mean I could be wrong maybe maybe it makes maybe it finishes at 150 or something like that would be fantastic because they were kicked in 15.
Yeah I mean I think if it comes out of there with 50 they would be [ __ ] ecstatic even 40. oh yeah dude I’m not talking about first weekend I’m talking total yeah whatever I think I think they’d be happy with 40 in a in a couple weeks because you know you don’t get a long run these days no you don’t and is it is it coming out on HBO at the same time no it’s not supposed to be an HBO movie so it’s probably gonna get a few weeks okay I had heard that and I I hope not they’ve probably got their money made with the HBO part and they just said well we’re gonna throw it out there and see what happens yeah the toys weren’t moving at Target they must have some faith in it though when they scrapped Batgirl which had Keaton in it you know what I mean yeah so yeah well you know in Target they’re the toys they were moving again because the movie hasn’t started I’m sure nobody knows what Blue Beetle is so hopefully that’ll be interesting to see I saw a lot of uh shuri uh wakanda uh figurines on the clearance section for like three bucks yeah so yeah just saying uh all right let’s start this [ __ ] um couple AF 15s this week this one’s just a cover um Honestly though somebody probably needs that press somebody’s got a couple and you know you get a coverless cop you get a copy together and it’s 10K I mean that’s a baseline entry point of one and that’s there you go that’s a halfway decent cover yeah it looks good if you had a mostly you see it might be you know that might turn into a 20K deal oh and you know what’s good is also um if you you see up at the top with the chip gone it looks like it’s the whole cover front and back oh yeah yeah so that’s that’s probably that’s that’s probably adds to that price as well I’m sure it has that yeah it appeared to be a full cover to me yeah um and here’s another interesting one which I actually thought kind of went cheap it’s a res a restored copy at least the cover is restored I looked at the pages they looked nice it looked like it had nice innards uh but they you know restored the front to look brand goddamn new um I gotta assume it’s a semi-professional one to do that much work and look halfway nice I don’t think that’s a terrible price when you’re buying for a beat to [ __ ] half torn off covers 10K right yeah I it’s rip that clean cover off well sell that coat sell that For Itself by two grand put the other cover on yeah get yourself a 2-0 I think we’ve talked about like there were some Resto you know high grade Resto ones that sold for pretty good money I mean you know it’s an Amazing Fantasy 15.
Yeah I don’t know this felt like a a decent price to me like okay and that’s extensive beautiful restoration I mean that he colored it in dude I mean that’s beyond CT yeah yeah but I mean I like at least it’s gonna look nice it is you’re not gonna I mean whatever that’s for The Collector who doesn’t care about restored books he’s just a guy who wants it in a mantelpiece it’s gonna look like a nice copy and most people that don’t know Comics aren’t gonna know [ __ ] yeah but you’re gonna have that over you’re gonna have that that’s coming out at your dinner party to show your friends yes that end to show us yeah no because we’d [ __ ] our pants because we think that would be a three million dollar bullet well I’d still think it’s [ __ ] cool oh it’s hella cool I want it yeah so I I don’t know I thought it was an interesting price point for it because I I think I’ve seen oneself for three four times that if it was graded so um you sent in this one that I hadn’t seen uh that ended it exactly 4 P.M west coast today so 7 P.M Eastern oh yeah I totally missed that I wasn’t gonna I was done with report by then before I text that and I just happened to be well I got the alert that are 15 minutes so I watched the end of it and uh sketch though [Music] [Music] [Music] what was it at like 15 minutes did you see was it like five grand still it was a probably 3 500.
Oh, that’s not terrible it jumped it jumped like 13 1400 in the last second 44 46 or something to okay Sans the sketch theoretically uh do you think 5700 is a decent deal sure I guess I don’t I mean I don’t see the point in the freaking sketch and unless they got a holder that’s a that’s within the last year GCC label yeah you know what I mean you know it’s funny he’s like hey Ramos take this 20 000 book and would you like give like the cheapest Spider-Man looking doodle and is this I mean is he recreating the kiss I don’t know I hate this book right here bring it down for a second for me hold on uh just click on the other one so um I like doing this with people oh it was sketched uh February February 7 23.
Yeah you’ve got just bad [ __ ] taste what would you do not to mention then you throw the goddamn Spider-Man label that doesn’t match [ __ ] on it they’ve got the camel [ __ ] label in there I was thinking about this as a student report today like do people think through when they get these special labels or not I I do I do it when I think it’s gonna go up on price how much is that uh Mario uh 17.99 what is that what the hell signed it I love solar spotlights oh is it tell me it’s in uh it’s late and Bob Layton did it no to tell me where it’s at is it in uh you know what that’s not who would have done it uh it’s not in Wisconsin is it uh Wayne New Jersey I just remember remember our boy uh what was his name used to be like one of the three main moderators in Google Plus Wisconsin from where he was from Wisconsin he was kind of young kid he’s a college kid oh yeah yeah yeah I sold him my copy of that a long time ago and it was a PGX like 9-4 and he was gonna get the Mario somebody on the Mario creator team to sign it is why he wanted it what the hell custom labels on that Power Rangers book Iron Man no can you do the scroll over oh we had to do it on here I’m sorry if if you click on the second it should what is that some anime it’s anime oh it goes in the shell why would you do that any Power Rangers I don’t know I did I I do like like I’ve had like I did all I did a like a 25 order custom order label because I wanted I was doing only Spidey and Miles like I put it aside because you can’t pick like one custom label it’ll ship separately so I did a 25 label order so I do the Spider-Man or you’d see if you do the black suit or something like that so if it had even if it was a a spider like the first uh yeah I’m I’m tearing this guy apart with good books I’ll give him that so this is a little weird that’s Gwen at least right yeah that’s one inspired going in yeah it doesn’t it doesn’t bother you I don’t think I put I don’t think I’d put the Campbell on the um on the dellado I only I only I only do this in in weird books or like the X-Men um where it’s got they got the Jim Lee one if you’re using one of those books it kind of matches one or two all right what’s that saying even black Print error what the hell is that I got to see yeah that dark spot down the bottom what there like on her side there there’s dark spot foreign ER for all right I just did maybe I just didn’t know about the book I’m just saying no I mean it just it’s just interesting I just I just want to see what he’s kind of selling so I kind of know he had two of those good books bad slab taste and sketches all right it’s okay I just wanted to see what he kind of has it’s he’s got a lot of decent things you never know because I check it out all the time you never know which ones they have and a lot of people that go oh retired label and like it doesn’t really add value to me unless it’s one that you really like or like the secret Wars unless you’re liking it you’re you have everything else slabbed with that label and you needed one yeah yeah it doesn’t but I just I feel like book sell more with the with the right secondary label teams are done man yeah 150 remark yeah we’re gonna talk about remarks your boys the CEOs got a couple remarks so you’re gonna you guys gonna hate me on this one so and we always talk about this because remember Scotty Reagan had one of these and he had his slab but we always talk about it right I’d never buy this book raw you would never I would never pay as much money because I don’t never know if it’s a faker account you give me the counterfeit yeah I don’t know he’s saying it isn’t I don’t know why he is and I didn’t get it it also says cgc yeah so it doesn’t look like a terrible copy there’s some spine but it seems to be picking up because remember Scotty couldn’t sell that copy forever nobody wanted it yeah it was just kind of weird I think it’s seven five yeah seven five I think it’s just it was in a lull there was heat on everything else and now kind of I mean he got it for a good deal like don’t quote me boys if I remember correctly are you probably gonna text me uh it wasn’t like a PGX and he converted it to a cgc no I think he bought a cgc ready okay he hated it because it was too big for his boxes yes this thing’s [ __ ] massive I just checked on his health he’s only 67 so it’s like maybe Dave Sims hit selling dude yeah um cool Darkwing Duck look I love this book so liked it seems like a not terrible price that’s what I thought about doing like 90s era like our 90s era cartoons on the back wall here like Street Sharks and Darkwing Duck and [ __ ] like that yeah pulled this pulled this one up for it a little Disney Afternoon oh wow I think that might pre-screen 98 this one so sweet Disney Afternoon number nine shut it again I’m sorry foreign with the Chipmunks oh yeah Rescue Rangers yep and I think it’s really shot at 98.
I don’t know who’ll buy it there’s this was a 100 book and then people it’s one of those where people then just start listing it for 20 for no reason so I think only cyberspace still has it up for 200 bucks you know 98 Disney Afternoon I got all my Dark Wings the other day somebody’s gonna want it yeah uh here’s one Doom one promos yeah it’s got to be so rare 96 promo convention Marion yeah I did see that I saw this and then somehow I looked and it did get relisted at the same price so I don’t know what happened to the buyer but I I was going to show it either way so if you’re looking for it for 1500 bucks go for it I I know it’s rare as [ __ ] so cool ass book uh what do I got here uh this one continues to sync we’re now down to a grand for a two five oh it was easily someone for a grand a point oh yeah at one point even maybe a little more uh this didn’t seem like a bad price for a 9-2 I mean it’s not quite rare Air at nine two uh but it’s not bad bye Anne don’t dislike this grade in this book and if you were gonna gamble on it it seems like a fair price let’s get a good turnaround oh yeah this is a [ __ ] the high ass copy of this book an eight [ __ ] five what’s up first machine man now first Doom Patrol oh it’s first Doom Patrol oh yeah right there we didn’t talk about this we talked about how [ __ ] cgc change their font it looks like a [ __ ] 1990s [ __ ] website now oh yeah yeah well we did didn’t we uh maybe no no we talked about it in the chat I think only bash it in the chat yeah dumbasses I’m just like I don’t know that I’ve seen one this high before because I mean usually you got to pay four or five hundred bucks for a four so an eight five damn that’s a that’s a nice book what number is that 80.
Yeah I didn’t do the census I should have but uh I don’t remember seeing a nice copy of this very often so there isn’t so like you said what is that eight and a half yeah so like 9-0 is where it starts to really break so eight and a half’s 18 like eight hours like 32 so you know you get that kind of thing uh there’s 590 total graded but the top tier here is 90s twelve nine twos three nine fours two and the highest is six not three at nine six tough book yeah and that none of them are Signature Series they’re all blue labels I don’t know what you would get on the side but I’m just saying wow um it’s like this one’s a funny funny cover makes me think of Ferdinand how much will the last sale or what uh he wants to know what was the last nine eight or eight five before that one I bet it was more just thought this was a cool cover yeah I like the Heidi cover um I’m Gonna Keep Going while you get that sale yeah I got you another cover they’ll say covers only so it does imply the back covers there um that’s a ugly ass Hulk cover uh I suppose if you need it you take it but man the the Spider-Man af15 was way prettier oh yeah I think that’s true I’m wondering I’ve got I’ve got the 13th rap of uh Batman number one which sells for bunch and I’m wondering do I go ahead and rip it in half and sell it for two and Jews it is too because you can’t see the insides anyway what’s the [ __ ] point depends what’s on the back page actually is cool because it’s the end of the Batman story nice and so they’re they’re Batman and Robin panels and so it’s kind of cool the bat the back is the cool part because it’s a little face in the corner you know and I should look in to see uh okay double their profits yeah I never remember I spent 200 bucks like 10 years ago but you could also you could also just grade it and have both sides to be able to see it all yeah well you still yeah that’s true you figure out that last price yeah so so last so 2023 and there’s a three year Gap in the last day I was in 2020 for 22.25 and then a high in 2019 a 28.80 and then for some reason this book went for the 2018 for 4 600 bucks well that was probably back when Doom Patrol was hitting uh HBO where it was just first announced something like that uh this sale surprised me starting to come down yeah looks like a nice two five also yeah let’s get to the point where it’s coming back to Earth a bit yeah I’m just wondering about the CPR my one eight I mean I I mean I sold my three five for good money back in the day and then it went up to numbers that I was real annoyed with it’s almost at a point I could buy back in um so um page it out that’s what people were saying yeah I think I just think it’s still I think it’s obvious to do it we’ll just get there when I get there today no one better discount uh early Marvel Tales pulp cool cover throwing her in a glass jar this [ __ ] Lumber dude has some good books have we been paying attention to graded pulps I haven’t seen him hit have they I don’t even I don’t feel like they have that’s why I’m asking I would have said that you can grade them right I don’t think so I think they’re still working on it they they teased it because I think they’re trying to get the the slab because it was gonna be like this [ __ ] thick person I don’t know I haven’t seen any I don’t think will you uh do the Google machine in the background and see I don’t think they exist yet uh these were interesting though I kind of these Marvel stamp books without any stamps feel like a wasted potential think if I want one I want one with all the all the pain associated with the books they’ve ruined versus just the plain ones I want I want the tears um would it be comics and magazines other pulse maybe no just do cgc pulp let’s see if anything I looked it up all I’m seeing the stuff on the on the cgc boards yeah I think they’re still announcing they’re gonna do it in 2021 yeah I just think I think they got a lot going on so let’s keep let’s go start buying them yeah I’ve got a pile of them floating around of interesting high dollar ones I’ve got some yeah I haven’t spent any big money on them but I buy interesting looking ones here we go let’s when do you gentlemen think the calendar will bottom out prices are clearly way down and still still seem to be dropping and then I think that’s a real complicated question yeah I mean uh yeah I don’t know I think we’ll be uh summer uh we didn’t get any announcements um you know three weeks ago at stcc like we always do um so basically I don’t know I have faith in I have faith in the market I think August is your bad sales these are the months that most of us are not going to see the movement on eBay or wherever we sell Comics unless you’re doing like I sold the [ __ ] out of the stuff I got in San Diego and I haven’t sold too much else other than some random slabs besides that so I don’t know um we’ll see um Aaron got it so we’ll see we’ll see um we’ll see September October and also uh when you East Coasters start getting shitty weather yeah inside and start surfing the internet again and you start no no because the other thing we have via the holidays you got Christmas coming up yeah I mean through Christmas it’s going to be dicey anyways it always is yeah but September October usually pretty good yeah yeah and it was definitely very good after tax time yeah it’s tax time will be great after Christmas is okay the issue is I I think it could be an ugly year or two I mean there’s not a lot of good content coming out that people are thrilled about there’s not a lot of hype movies yeah tertiary characters [Music] um General economy sucks young people aren’t are saving for a house that they barely can afford so they’re not sitting in disposable income loan payments start back up buying any houses like no young people like eight percent interest that the student loan uh the rich people still buying houses yeah right the thing like the reprieve from covid is coming back so people have to start paying those again so I I think it’s going to be an ugly okay a lot of your buyers have student loans they’re gonna have less disposable income their job market is dicier I just think I think this year there’s going to be some some opportunities to get some good deals if you’re watching and I think it’s gonna be like one year the black cat 50 at Christmas time when nobody was like remember that that year yeah so another thing for me too it’s like it’s like there’s too many books right now with none of those supposable and can you back them up you know what I’m saying that’s basically what we’re at right now I think if you’re invested in very Niche books or books that are not like top tier you’re playing fire um you know I think the the keys are keys I think there’s gonna be you know the people that love the variants I think if you’re in pre-code horror you’re probably fine I just think it’s not a good time to be in some of the big one more you know Common books that everybody can have and you know we’re probably over hyped from a few years ago and dealers are buying so yeah I’m not saying it’s dead I just think it’s going to be a rough a rough year oh yeah not a lot there’s not a lot of bright spots of I can see it end in sight um I don’t know who the [ __ ] paid 240 for a three five primer hey it was a good uh crack press and and regret dude I bought it okay you told me to I’m just um yeah I don’t know I don’t I just surprised the [ __ ] out of me oh wait who was uh her friend uh was it Jessup that uh had the post about pressing a two five into a nine eight yes yes and he goes my greatest accomplishment in life is something that 99.9 of the world has no idea what I’m talking about it was just like I thought I was great that’s probably a guy who just likes to collect collect things and like he’s that guy who has like folks that are like six O’s and four O’s he doesn’t care about grade he’s yeah then he would have bought a bra one I don’t know maybe he’s a grading guy uh I just like seeing this book when it’s up I think it’s priced about the same as it has been for a while but I like it it’s a nice looking copy I love this book just because the bright color I just always have I love I don’t know I enjoy this book for some damn reason I like the stamp the win two round trips to TWA that’s dope too um this one I I’ve seen it before but it hit a little different today for me um you know the book itself’s kind of cool it’s a cool cover but I noticed it again there’s a lady in a red dress ballerina dancing and a and a um skull playing a violin and I’m like that kind of makes me think of the horrific yeah that’s a good point so I don’t know just gave me that Vibe today you know sometimes you look at something that just looks completely different than it did last time yeah this book feels like it’s lost some steam because this is gonna see a thousand dollar book all day long right yes yes it was I don’t think so I think maybe there’s one maybe people have dug enough copies out to feed the market I mean because the cover is ugly I saw a guy at Motor City he had a penis one with the baseball on the living room cover and it just sat there and nobody’s I mean that’s a better cover though this is just I don’t know but what’s the other one what’s this tied with oh this one did one take no there’s two I think this is I can’t figure out which one oh the fritzy ritzy is it something like that yeah yeah I don’t know I just I I think if you’re gonna go you get the peanuts one with the ball yeah I mean I think so but it’s a peanuts collectors um I know I don’t know I just I this one at one point was freaking nuclear and it is not now still more expensive than many people would think um I’m trying to think of the other one the only reason other thing I could think of is maybe that it um maybe possibly the other one took over the market turned I mean you can hold us collector you can handles accountable I mean that’s I remember I’m saying you know eat our advice we’re just trying to say I mean I yeah I don’t care I’m I know to Jack and [ __ ] most times if you mean I don’t want to out the guy but it’d be cool just to see like how I think those covers were his probably 80 [ __ ] years old he probably is or his storage units in the back I think this was his finally go please stop messaging me and then he goes dude I can’t believe you sell Comics I don’t know how you sell comics with such poor customer service I’m going to report you to all my friends and starts listing some of the Instagram guys and I’m like please tell them that I didn’t give information to somebody who bought a book and you’re we have no deal and you’re messaging me out of nowhere hey you know if you don’t tell me you have the CEO it tell us on the flip side and we know Instagram people do well I was like I thought about it I’m like I’m just not even going to give them the time today I’m just like cool please tell them we didn’t have any deals in progress yeah customer service is to ignore you for a question I don’t deem appropriate you should call the guy that bought it and said hey how about I buy it back for an extra thousand yeah that wouldn’t necessarily be um I don’t think that would be necessarily terrible yeah oh yeah I got well okay sure I don’t know that I don’t it will you do something he’s like yeah dude so literally like two years to the day I finally got the book and I was like hey dude I hope you remember me can you do the sketch he’s like yeah dude if you bring it to a show I’ll do it for free for you and he goes well I’m going to San Diego and I said again I got a friend he’s like yeah just let me know and we’ll do it no problem so it’s this it’s all packing slash slice hard um a little thin ceiling uh that’s on there inside so you got it I think he does free free uh free sketches and cigs that are sexual that’s pretty cool so that’s one uh and the second one of the night is so hopefully this comes out it was give me focus problems so I bought this 9-6 and this was the crack case one that somebody shipped in like with two like uh like oh I always say like Hudson’s bags or something like that like the paper bags and it got cracked and I think it was cracked before so I needed to get it re-uh slabbed anyways so what I did is I had um our friend of the show who’s been on the show J.G Jones uh I messaged him like Hey dude like I know you did the variant cover and I’m not gonna spend 300 bucks on a variant coverage because I got like all these signatures can you do a quick sketch on this for me like no big deal like I’ll pay you whatever I don’t even care and you did a little Venom and uh Spider-Man on the bike at least they’re not kissing yeah right yeah and uh he signed it for me and it was really nice about it and he wasn’t gonna charge me but his Handler’s like I want you know and he I was cool with it yeah you knocked out of the park and uh yeah that’s super cool JJ what a nice guy man he signed all those books for everybody after uh yeah after he came on yeah so I got Stan Lee I got uh let’s see what I’m gonna make sure I got everybody so sky and sketch by JJ Jones we got Edgar Delgado on here Stan Lee John livesay Joe quesada dance slot and segment on this boy it’s not really a artist I’m not sure you’re into that book [Music] um I bought this for 120 bucks with just the signatures on the top and being correct and it was at 9-6 I think I was worried you know me and Chris were talking about you know it might come back in nine four which and then JG was really nice and he’s like 40 bucks dude like so I mean just to stand alone usually sells for yeah to 300 bucks yeah so it’s so really honestly and I got like maybe 25 bucks into grading because I had or 50 bucks integrating so like 250 bucks maybe like yeah so I got one two three four five six seven signatures on this thing for 250 bucks yeah I mean [ __ ] again the stand on any book usually sells for that yeah and I figure you know like whatever man I mean I wasn’t a big Stanley like you know I wasn’t gonna go hunt his autograph down or anything like that like if it came it came if it didn’t you know whatever yeah I got one yeah right and can you message him and do one for me and I’ll pay him to your grandma say yes yeah I’ll give you good customer service so I I want to say I do appreciate JD Jones like I messaged him on Instagram and you’re really nice about it I know he’s been uh babbling some stuff and I just truly appreciate it into taking time out and doing that for me and power of the channel kind of I always say humbly that it’s a little our little show right and we just you know we don’t know who watches then you just hang it up I’ll do a little free promo for these guys too so um I think they’re out of China so uh you’re not I got it exactly like like two hours before like it literally came when
