Blaming “GOP funding cuts” for the lack of an Ebola vaccine has been a strategy employed by the NIH director, Paul Begala, Henry Waxman and many others.
Nancy Pelosi’s daughter, Christine, can now be added to the list of those pushing the false narrative:
President #Obama mounts robust response to #Ebola http://t.co/RqrnNqVaOw despite GOP's #CDC funding cuts (h/t @mmfa): http://t.co/sNGAbDtHPJ

The Media Matters story Pelosi linked says “conservative media” are denying that “lack of funding” harms research on diseases like Ebola. As for the charge that the GOP cut Ebola funding, the Washington Post can apparently be lumped into the “conservative media” category, because their fact check gave the Dem claim four Pinocchios:

Yawn. Nice try Ms. Pelosi:
@sfpelosi @mmfa You know, the CDC has requested more money to fight Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (which has no known cause), than Ebola.

@sfpelosi @mmfa #CDC doled out $25 million in bonuses while blaming cuts for Ebola outbreak http://t.co/3RELnHXboy #Ebola

@sfpelosi @mmfa Sadly, only people with a minus 10 IQ will believe you…but, good try!

@sfpelosi Data show not that the CDC faced a lack of funding, but misplaced priorities for that funding based on choices made by #Obama

And check out all the other things that took money from Ebola research.
