VHS Auctions Galore!!! | Heritage, Comic Connect, Goldin

all right uh Sunday night we’re live with tape heads uh we have a great show tonight um I should have called an auction Mayhem maybe or something of that nature um auction Mania yeah I guess I said or something I need to I need to go back to the Anna station go in the lab and check it out okay uh so we have golden we have Heritage and we have Comic Connect going off um we’re gonna talk about a lot talked about uh a lot of auctions going on yeah yeah uh auction hurricane yeah I’m switching over to the laptop so I’m gonna log I got you I um so do we want to go through ones first or do I mean there’s so there’s so many there’s three going on right now like I said comma connect there’s golden there’s Heritage do we want to kind of go just you know just there’s a lot of listings you know we don’t need to make it a 700 or 700 hour or so so uh what I did is I kind of just brought it up here like this so yeah I’m gonna just comma connect first let upcoming connection Heritage both in this week and I think golden just started right yeah golden this is the elite Arkansas has 16 days left uh you can do Comic Connect and Heritage today okay so okay yeah it’s like why don’t we come back in a couple weeks says golden looks to close and then we’ll do this we’re supposed to have Vincent come on to preview this but it’s Dad passed this past weekend we’re not able to attend to preview this for us oh we sent our uh Our World wishes Off the Bench and the boys over there and girls so um this is about the show so uh you know he was with I think he did an interview with George actually um a little conversation with Nico back in the day uh let me kind of blow this up so people can see um I don’t know what is this one gonna be better probably broke uh so there’s only 64 listings on this one uh which isn’t terrible um maybe you want to go through it down Pablo come on baby because you go down the list is that what we’re gonna do oh man I really like that Fistful of dynamite beta that’s a that’s a later book that’s a later book box it’s pretty cool so this is Comic Connect and ends when on Monday tomorrow yeah tomorrow in their original art ends tomorrow also yeah yeah what is the highest one right now I’ve never seen this movie but it just recommends it then I’m gonna have to watch it oh man that’s a Sergio own uh spaghetti western it’s awesome I’ve got the VHS set over here so yeah they have a they have a Star Trek signed by Shatner that’s pretty cool it’s pretty cool I mean it’s an early one too it’s a scotch one so that’s a that’s a pretty cool tape but it’s also cool that it’s signed by Shatner so he’s um it’s autograph seems a little weird autograph looks like they didn’t yeah it looks like laid them but is that just a w and the I don’t know it’s always been that is it weird yeah we need to go to Pawn Stars to authenticate yeah right I’ll give you 20 bucks for it you know I gotta frame it I gotta put it in the case you know sit around I gotta I gotta do all that stuff you know I don’t wanna mess around with all that come on we’ll we’ll we’ll we’ll skip this one uh I got it I gotta but let’s talk about this one since you said this was a cool a cool uh toolbox yeah I mean this is cool because well this is cool because this is later on in the book boxes so this is like an 87 and book boxes were kind of gone by then this is really really late and and I don’t know it’s just I like this box and I like this movie and I haven’t seen many sealcogs I’m actually bidding on this one so feel free not to bet against me it’s only 55 right now I wouldn’t mind spending more money for it but it’s really cool interesting I’m a sucker for spaghetti western so I mean you know what I gotta I gotta crank this one open and uh I’ll crack it up but I’ll watch I’ve never watched this but any Western I’ve watched a lot of skinny westerns because my uh my grandfather used to watch them a lot for 50 bucks let’s say let’s break it open and we’ll watch the beta let’s do it yeah right right I’ll do it live yeah uh okay so we got this one let’s go back so now I I kind of did it where it’s um body yeah so we’re talking about Star Trek um psycho is up psycho’s up it’s a lower grade that’s psycho but I mean it’s an early that’s an early ish beta I mean that’s not the earliest one but yeah it’s it’s a pretty cool tape uh it’s a Canadian one too so you got the really fun Canadian watermarks on the back there you go so what do you think on the Canadian versus the US releases Charles is that a big difference on their value I think they should be the same value I mean there’s not much difference in them um I mean maybe just depending on where you live I mean I I think being in the U.S I would probably want a U.S one just because it makes more sense to me because I grew up in the US you know but I feel like they should be the same value I think there should be people on both sides of the of the Border bidding that’s my opinion Carter what do you think Carter hmm I I think I’d always prefer the US version I would I’ll say this I noticed that the um the Canadian versions of Paramount tapes don’t go for as much uh summer school some of them don’t yeah yeah Top Gun they don’t go they don’t go for nearly as much like I but like when I get into my Canadian collection it’s more of the weird variants of like their French releases and stuff like that like I love those weird sealed French variants because you know like the Terminator 2-1 which was released by MCA it’s just fun having an MCA home video Watermark Terminator too because I don’t know I think weird stuff hmm um what’s what’s next though oh uh that I got gray that’s way too cheap I never see that that’s first release no this first print I don’t know what I mean it’s got the uh wrap-around watermarks yeah that’s what you want oh yeah I’m gonna say 1500 on this one 1600 15 1600 Maybe okay I don’t know I got karate chopped out it was nice okay yeah me too I have some issues I uh they’re saying 15 1600 uh what do you think yeah I think this this should be about a fifteen sixteen hundred dollar tape um I think this is a good one to buy at this high of a grade it’s you know it’s a nine nine um I’ve seen I’ve seen a couple of these but I think this is kind of the higher higher end of the grade I’ve saw an 85 VGA which is pretty good and and I saw a couple that were like you know seven fives and stuff like that so this is a really cool one for the price I’m uh Carter have you have you done cgc yet uh as far as tapes yeah no because I wonder if you think they have a census uh uh I’ve got some cgc tapes here show us Charles show us you want me to grab one yeah yeah right here there you go buddy okay all right Jackson look at Jackson on top of it Jackson ready to go like a Boy Scout let’s go huh nine six two tone it’s the best Bill Cosby himself I love I love in the back where it says his subjects ran from booze and drugs I’m like oh yeah they do yes they do Bill Cosby himself oh so it’s funny my my cgc account Works through everything which I think is interesting even the home I thought it would do like different ones I guess maybe but maybe not I’m just looking to see like I would figure they have like a census or something yeah I don’t mind the cgc case I just gotta give them one one negative feedback it’s a little big it’s a little big it’s yeah it’s a little on the Hefty side what’s your what’s your number on that what’s your number the grading no the serial number oh I don’t know if you can see it all right I’ll tell you on the Return of the Jedi all right yeah one zero yep zero zero zero zero one another zero how many zeros ten zeros are gonna one so there’s five zeros after the number one okay six two zeros and then three there you go all right Bill Cosby you go back in the corner where you belong they’re not uh they’re not loaded yet so that’s interesting so no uh greater notes on tapes yet okay so in the you know everybody’s just so be real people back in a little bit so the comic books you can look up the verification number and you can see what the either the notes are or if it’s valid yada yada um and then I want to see a census too like how many books are great or how many tapes are great at higher or lower than yours or if I mean is it just one is it I mean I know it’s fairly new but yeah they’re only got one but uh probably about a quarter or two worth of tape data probably a few quarters yeah yeah I just you know the things I think about is in my mind uh goes to the thing but I wouldn’t mind seeing that too I mean that would be cool to finally see a number of how many of these exist yeah right yeah it’s like I hate to you know or like maybe somebody’s very diligent or wrote a spider program or something like capture all the sales data but I’m sure you know all these tape grading companies should be doing census um I agree yeah um let’s see Conan action look at that yeah that’s a nice that’s a nice beta um really nice beta uh it’s oh man we had a double mint beautiful yeah 400 that’s it yeah this Canadian too bro I think that’s Canadian is it no it’s just got the um it’s just got the rainbow watermark on it yeah this is um this is actually a really cool one um uh I think this should be I mean this should I mean I think they should be easily a two thousand dollar tape I mean that’s my you know even a beta I mean I think this that’s probably a high end but I mean I think this being a double mint first release I I it’s Conan I mean people are always going to love their Arnold movies you know we’ve got team McBride on the on the chat so if you guys may want to play some bid on so so what a day left what the hell is this thing going to end on hello order 31 right now I I think this one may have some legs at the end this is always one of those tapes that may have a little bit of a little bit of fun bidding war yeah and I never see those uh those rainbow water marks ever done De la Torre yeah I’ve seen I’ve seen a few of them and you know recently they they’ve been popping up more and more and some of the lesser-known titles are going for way too cheap when Rainbow Water marks you know you’ll see some you know it may not being a known title but it’s still you know that old is a piece of media history you know and you’ll see them going for 100 bucks 70 bucks it’s like oh I’ll take a mini day of the week they’re beautiful what do we think final value anybody want a gander or a guess we’ll probably should write action at least a thousand I just want to thank you know not too high but also not super low I think a thousand is about right yeah I agree and he’s a better max if he was the Via chest oh yeah definitely it’s a little more but you never know some some things are weird in auctions I mean even though it’s 400 right now all it takes is a bidding award and can go as high as 2500 on some some options so for me I think about it is so the Arnold so Arnold’s been getting a lot of love on Netflix lately the Arnold documentary came out his little TV show that came out I wonder if that’s gonna drive people to maybe it’s because dude did uh did we bring up that it’s a white guard so it’s a two-tone oh yes it’s uh I don’t think it was was it or is it no I think it was um did beta have two tones or no yeah yeah they did this doesn’t uh that doesn’t say that’s all it says there’s no real let me see what the thing he says up top here what are they saying on the label uh rainbow BTA first print red and cap tape oh yeah white guard yeah yeah it’s a cool tape so I think that’s so that’s that thing has everything going that’s everything and the fact that there’s no picture of the bottom uh it’s not doing this thing in your favors so yeah I was gonna say that too there’s no like I mean you would think there should be a shot of that bottom I mean why why are we not seeing every uh every side bottom top to these tapes like yeah like I think that I mean that should be a focal point I mean I think there should at least be four pictures I mean you just gonna have front back side bottom you know at least top and bottom at least exactly or at least to where the watermark lives but something like the bottom of the tape or something you know I think that’s someone’s gonna get always been my my issue with with comma connectors like they always have cool stuff but there’s not enough photos like in every auction it’s kind of like that there’s always two photos you get the front to get the back and I’m like oh you really do a lot more George Justice if you shoot the whole thing you know well I think people are I wouldn’t say maybe comic and NBA says right if it’s something sealed or greeted in comics you just take a front and a back pick right you know I mean yeah I know it’s a flat piece of media but still it’s like people just assume the grades are great but like you said sometimes you can always bump up a grade or like you won’t always see the bottom with the watermarks at the bottom or something of that nature so yeah yeah somebody’s gonna get a deal just because nobody’s paying attention probably to the label and saying that it’s a two-tone uh I feel like you could take that from here and and maybe hold it for a couple months and dress it up and throw it up somewhere else and with better pictures and make yourself a little bit of money it’s a it’s kind of uh weird that a rinky dink Ebay listing can give you more info show more pictures than a high-end auction oh this thing is awesome this is awesome I mean that that grade is is really cool these are always beat up something about this movie and this loremar release is just always it’s always beat the crap open close I don’t care they’re always beats of crap now this is shiny guard right no watermark no WM I assume there’s no one yeah yeah they never they didn’t have watermarks on these um I’ve had a couple of these from Laura Moore Laura Mar didn’t really use watermarks to too much um even their their trick-or-treat release you know I have one of those and it’s just a watermark she wasn’t well this one’s beautiful this thing’s cool I don’t know where somebody was holding this somebody was holding this somewhere for a long time only uh only 310 bucks 310 bucks no yeah this one’s not gonna go much higher in my opinion it’s not a it’s not a popular compared with the first one and even the third one I think is better than this one but that’s my opinion yeah yeah and this is a this one I don’t know how they labeled it’s weird but this this is actually the demo tape for for that that’s why it’s the there’s the thing on the front that says special pop in the in the front that’s this is what they sent out for the demo ones too so pop inside sticker yeah this means yeah because I’ve seen that in a few of these Laura Mars and that was their like you know here’s your retailer tape that thing yeah okay so that’s sticker so that sticker is is it on the plastic or is that just like part of the printing uh the ones that I’ve had it was on the the plastic itself like the um like the embassy like cheap chill stickers that are on top it’s kind of was one of those on the side on the actual front of it all right it’s kind of like one what do you mean I mean yeah yeah they all have that on there or just special editions color so that’s like the the demo copy essentially and all that really was it’s the same tape but they put a uh like a leaflet in there of like you’re buying whatever for that tape whatever your buying limits were but these are what is my opinion like usually part twos they don’t do to a wedding auctions I mean everybody goes for pie one yeah yeah I think this is um I I think this is a cool tape I think it’s a cool value I I think it’s maybe top right now what it may make it bid on um I think it may creep a little bit to four but yeah I mean I always be Sur I don’t see it hitting a grand or anything like that uh this is a couple of good questions here from Igor is there a good place to check prices of tapes and how can someone know if it’s a first release or a re-release of a movie that’s a whole different that’s a lot of the second Parts a lot of knowledge the first part is hard too okay well well eBay obviously is the easy one but it doesn’t mean that he’s the best place to check but you should definitely check eBay it’s all listings first yeah so there’s a bunch of seal VHS from back in the day when I used to own a video store 25 years ago Oh my he could have something good you could have something good Igor you could have some good stuff man it’s it’s definitely it’s definitely difficult um I mean an easy rule of thumb to start is generally unless it’s something really cool like a demo tape if you start getting past the year 1990 it’s not really worth much you know that’s kind of the Year where things started getting you know a little more common but I’d say with the re you know exception of like if you have sealed stuff from 2006 you know the later on VHS years and the exceptions of demo tapes for cool releases you know like Pulp fictions people like that you know but early stuff from the 80s is generally I mean you get stuck pre-85 it’s all generally pretty cool yeah but it’s it’s it the second part of your question is really hard because you know they in a short answer tapes use the same boxes for long spans of time but altered very very minuscule things that people have had to learn to look out for to learn to stack them Disney seal tapes is a no-go no go yeah yeah unless it’s like 1980 1981 you know an 82 early early stuff I I omit Disney out of my uh tape search I bet you do a lot of people is one of the best hunters so I have very few I have um I have this one there you go do I have officials this is Michael Jackson’s Peter Pan from Neverland I’m not even joking oh wow oh and you know what when I got this he didn’t even rewind it you know be kind of rewind Michael it was fingerprints in it and it was Cheetos in it and Michael I’m upset okay okay yeah that’s all I gotta say about that all right let’s go let me get Fight Club um you know that yeah it’s not I don’t really care oh hold on I care about that I care about Transformers hey hey you gotta you got to be cool you gotta get a Transformer set too that’s where it’s at okay so this isn’t this is this is a really actually nice copy uh if you’re looking for if you’re looking for a copy of Transformers I mean this is this is an early release and this may be the first release but it’s a beautiful copy okay should uh those have watermarks I don’t think I’ve ever seen an fhe Watermark there may have been one I tell you what um I don’t think I’ve seen one so the see the distributor Ive those heavy you had watermarks okay yes yeah Family Home Entertainment which so it’s funny trivia the other ones who paid for the first release of Texas Chainsaw Massacre but it’s a different that’s a different story but uh yeah [ __ ] you know they’re like they are their family home entertainment is what it stood for and um I never seen watermarks to them and they were a duplicator and a distributor so they duplicated tapes and distribute them but yeah I’ve never seen a watermark for them it’s a cool copy why why is it it’s just a shitty [ __ ] description like Transformers VHS that’s horrible so this is the comment with a lot of these with a lot of these auction companies um there’s nobody there knows about these tapes I could tell you that from these descriptions they’re just copying what it says that they’re there’s I mean honestly there’s not a there’s nobody there whose knowledgeable enough to tell you how cool this tape is this is a cool tape and if you like Transformers okay Transformers there’s there’s dozens of vhs’s but I mean this Transformers the movie it’s an 87 release uh this is early in fhe you know starting to get bigger with releases and it being good 10 and then a nine this is a beautiful copy that somebody probably bought and displayed probably in their room as a kid or something oh yeah this guy was the first person has a sealed Light release a 2005 screener seat of Chucky that’s a great one right there so Chucky was uh kind of hard to find on on VHS that’s a good couple you should get a greater Jaguar gun and then this and then Dan was like in comics there’s not noting of white no off-white so far regarding quality of paper or notations of videotape condition well I mean this is a box [Music] I have a couple of graded tapes that have that are faded on one side and there’s no note about it being faded on the label like I have an early Embassy copy of waves like I can see up here and like one side you can tell was displayed it’s like so faded out but it doesn’t mention anywhere okay so Family Home Entertainment cfhe oh see you got one okay and you see it’s a big box though no this is uh this is a beta it’s Hazard is big oh yeah and you got the uh because okay so yeah interesting yeah it’s um it’s uh distributed by MCA and there’s a lot of hands in this is that Canadian MCN distribution not um there’s a lot of hints I’m gonna be honestly that’s cool you just take a photo there because I’ve never said it to me I’ve never seen an yeah for sure fhe Watermark yeah but it’s got um like every every Transformers release okay so this one so this one here has got yeah small very small Ive watermark gold along the back here so I don’t know I like I like that Transformers the movie but the fact that it doesn’t have like the white um watermark on the side that’s a I don’t know I don’t think it would um I wonder if Ivey bought the distribution rights to their movies later on in the run that may have been yeah that may have been it like how you see some of the um lightning releases with vestron video watermarks on the back because restaurant bought their titles so later on they moved from having those lightning Holograms to the restaurant watermarks it’s kind of like that but I don’t know um it’s graded already so it’s been authenticated and I don’t know it’s a it’s a nice copy I I don’t know go for it if you like Transformers for for 300 bucks I think it’s at a cool spot I mean I don’t know how much bigger it could pull I love Transformers you go beyond your your imagination okay here we go uh Fight Club you want to talk about fight club or pass yeah absolutely okay okay uh um a little back to action says uh third party rear reel watermarks blue Watermark uh uh The Reel yeah yeah vertical fold 2000 slip cover as our favorite grading or case yeah right um that picture is bad not the best quality to see the notes yeah oh oh look at this one picture of it all right take that back yeah they took they actually threw a picture on there so that’s good 9.5 that’s super strong oh blue Watermark is that bad Pablo no no after the 90s it’s fine with the blue watermarks if it’s a 90s movie okay I haven’t not seen a copy of Fight Club uh without the the real Watermark okay yeah that that real Watermark was um as a duplicator that did uh uh did a bunch of different ones I think it started at 98 and ran to like oh 405 so you see I have a lot of them on there it’s essentially a generic order mark for a catch-all okay the thing I don’t want one of the best movies in the 90s so it should be a decent amount of money but there is a lot of these out there guys so so for me um let me make sure I say this right so it’s freaking out so you see the back here like it says like Corners edges and stuff like wouldn’t they put that [ __ ] on the front yeah of the thing or or I know they put on the back but it’s like you [ __ ] can’t see it because it’s okay can’t see it I’m I’m not I’m not the bigger I I don’t want to knock knock this case but I’m not the biggest fan of this case just because it’s it’s hard to see everything on it and it’s so much bigger I’ve heard that they’re gonna have a new case from Beckett I’ve heard that for like a year I don’t know it’s just so big and it’s hard to see everything come on back it listen oh well oh yeah so so 200 211 bucks do we think these hundred bucks at best yeah they it’s always this is always I think gonna be a 500 tape just because everybody always wants Fight Club I think there’s always enough people to drive it to 500.

it’s just like the is this like a Deadpool new meeting is 98 like everyone just wants one to have one of their like the Spiderman Venom 300s yes I hope so everybody wants to fight club I don’t know I’m just that’s a good point because when you’re talking like Charles was saying like you’re safe buying usually or investing in 80s movies because therefore they are more scarce but 90s they’re just they just printed a ton of them it goes to VHS was the king in that time yeah it’s been hard you know I I see a lot of stuff from the 80s that kind of flies under the radar at these auctions and they’re they’re so this is a cool tape but I mean when you see a tape of Fight Club go for more than like uh MCA rainbow Watermark film it’s like uh that’s a that’s not that’s a different level it’s a different level of movie there it’s a lot older a lot rare but they’re I’m Gonna Knock a Fight Club I love fly Club yeah I get it I mean it’s a generation I mean for me like all these rainbows like we talked about before like I I’m I’m a young kid I’ve never seen this movie and you know what I’m saying like it just anything else we want to see in here Ghostbuster and other Transformers really low some stuff really low still but I mean it’s kind of stuff that I think is cool but some later stuff I mean every auction has a copy of these predators in there and Hellboy so this is the kind of stuff that you do not want to have in an auction because it’s a wasting time for Comic Connect they’re wasting resources kind of interesting yeah that swamp thing’s pretty cool you won the embassy watermarks here yeah yeah but this is a new line I mean like this one’s a lot older a lot newer I mean but for what but for what the price is at right now it’s like that’s a ridiculously low price I mean honestly for that price I would buy it just to open it and watch it so I’d have a clean copy for myself for my collection sorry guys this is more worth 200 yeah and the only reason I would say I would open it is because it has a new line Watermark I mean honestly I think that this should be a couple hundred dollar tape it should be a 250 tape it’s it’s fantastic cover art I mean yeah it’s a little bit later in the release but Swamp Thing was a weird movie it didn’t it didn’t move a lot of copies so well that’s a big fan base yeah I think swamp thing’s cool this is cool for 60 bucks I’m like come on guys yeah yeah let’s do 200.

I’m gonna I’m gonna bid on this tomorrow just because I’m upset with how low it is okay uh Dirty Dancing Temple of Doom yeah you all see right Beetlejuice Beetlejuice when judge read freaking Judge Dredd you got one of those Carter yet no I love this movie you know what I never really see that or maybe I don’t notice it when it shows if it shows up on eBay or not I just don’t think I’ve ever noticed it either yeah every auction has an E.T in it I mean yeah there you go real quick like have you seen any good activity on on eBay lately not really no no I don’t I don’t get on I don’t yeah I haven’t bought much on eBay lately I mean it’s kind of a weird marker right now stuff sometimes will come up but no nothing really cool what about that Raiders of the Lost Art Pablo that’s a waste of time a waste of time my man what the hell are they doing it’s a waste of time and a waste of space why is this on an auction like literally have a sticker let me try to help them here no maybe if you want to buy something for your for your grandfather maybe you want to buy something for your dad for your nephew you don’t for your nephew you don’t like okay for your young kid hey what if you want to dress up your kid’s bedroom yeah I not going to try to knock these tapes guys the those tapes like that are not rare I mean there was probably 987 million of those things freaking struck but I’ll open them every day of the week and I’ll watch them as new copies but if you want to grade one and put it in your kid’s room I think it’s pretty cool yeah it’s like a race you said it earlier Charles they they don’t know what they doing they just copy and paste descriptions but then they posted stuff that they shouldn’t be there like always say Vincent you know my condolences to to his family like hopefully they learn from their mistakes because you know if you keep moving forward you do not want to have these kind of tape on future auctions otherwise you’re not going anywhere you’re not going yeah this is a this is the these these we hate to knock these days but these are the tapes that cause a lot of problems these tapes aren’t rare for the most part all they did was flood the grading Market they delayed a lot of other stuff they’re not worth a lot of money and I like I hate to say that because I love tapes but I mean honestly do you have there’s not much you can do about okay you have a 94 copy of Lethal Weapon or whatever that is I don’t know which weird that is but you know it’s just stuff that’s not really that rare you know it’s like come on is this also I I wonder if these are submissions from from clients or these are Comic Connect tapes those are uh Consignments Consignments yeah yeah but here we go again double mistake because you cannot allow to these consignors to to have they don’t have a consignment director that probably knows about VHS though I mean that’s what we run into a lot of these companies is yeah Jackson they don’t have anybody knows about VHS Jackson talked with Vincent please well you tell them a little bit about this situation because otherwise they they just they’re wasting time and space oh and like I I I hate to see those tapes because I mean I see auctions like this where 80 of them are those tapes and I know not to knock the auction company but it’s probably stuff that’s just holding space you know it’s just let’s let’s put on something so it gets the hell out of here yeah almost like a reading reprint this is an example this is an example of what not to do and then when we see Heritage they’re kind of half on half they have yeah yeah then they don’t have the good stuff they have good stuff and then also some of the bad things 180 items we won’t go through them all but uh right now let’s go to Heritage yeah yeah five five thousand two hundred and fifty bucks already oh this is an awesome copy though let’s go tell us tell us why this is this is an absolutely beautiful original release of Back to the Future uh this should be a ten thousand dollar tape hey look at this point they got multiple pictures too for Scotch stickers on the side but this is this is beautiful this is the first I mean it’s it’s MCM etched on the bottom I mean it’s beautiful it’s it’s a 92 you know you see these cities come up there’s always a little bit of conditioning issues with these tapes you know these are old now they were passed around a lot this copy is absolutely beautiful this thing is beautiful yeah yeah this is gonna hit ten thousand probably yeah and again and this is um being a VHS too I mean it’s what you it’s what you want it’s it’s a great copy I wouldn’t mind having this one this is cool it’s a bit it’s just beautiful I mean really it’s yeah hard to find it’s this is always going to be one of the movies like you know the first release of Raiders Back to the Future Goonies this place always gonna want one of these they’re they’re rare they’re hard to find and yeah they were reproduced a lot but when you get to these early copies these are rare these are hard to find this is before they realized oh we could sell 80 million of these so let’s go ahead and just dump them out the back of the truck it’s like come on oh that’s funny um Superman Superman 2100 is this the original release no no this is a second release second release yeah this is a clam shell so this would have been 83.84.

Uh 83 black yeah yeah um super hard to find this is actually the only sealed one of this I’ve seen I think this one is beautiful uh there’s not going to be too many of them and it’s a great copy these generally you know these these clam shows generally stayed in good shape I mean even though these weren’t wrapped you know but for the most part I mean they were protected they had a protected plastic on the art so for the most part they stayed in really good shape so will you rather have this or the first slip case release of Superman um I I have that because it’s earlier and you know this is the time when these were a lot scarcer this is when VHS was a lot more money these were made to be display pieces these are cool you know because VHS is so much more back in this early day you can imagine there wasn’t a lot of these that were left closed you know if you paid eighty dollars for this thing back in the day I mean I was at 100 something bucks you paid for a movie you’re gonna open this thing up watch it interesting yeah we got a I’m just looking at you what is this which one which one this one uh nightmare I’m sure it’s a cool copy that’s the first release uh that’s a later it’s not the exact first release No full box isn’t that a full box it’s a full box like um don’t like it 85 should be the first release No 85 terminal loader um yeah so Elm Street actually was released in this box uh sometime around summer of 85 but this 1990 promotion 1995 promotion whatever started in 86 so they had the same box but this promotion was a later striking they they actually did Halloween and never dumpster at the same time because at the time this was released like they didn’t want to Discount this tape because it was so popular so like this solder like 79 bucks for the first year and then it was like 86 they dropped it and that’s what that sticker’s from still a really rare tape though um there was quite a few Elm Streets I mean this is a really popular tape but on the opposite side that it being popular there’s not many that were left unopened I mean these were so popular that most of them were just being bought up so I mean there wasn’t a lot of uh retailer send backs on the full box there wasn’t a lot of returns there wasn’t a lot of unopened ones so these are these are really rare when you get to these uh uh what else we got here can we take a look at animal house oh wow whoa whoa okay this one’s kind of High um honestly this same tape so was it certified link closed like last week and they had this like the same tape in there it only sold for like 400 bucks which I kind of think this one is worth about that because it’s got that Mogul sticker on it that puts it a little bit what year is that what years does that put it that movie Mogul uh yeah I think that was 84 and 85 because in mid 84 and early 85 everybody started the trend of low price VHS tapes so um I bet you if you go back and look at old issues of variety you could probably find the ad silica when they ran the movie Mogul it would have had to have been around that time did I tried Googling movie Mogul and like I found nothing let me see talks amongst yourself I’ll try to find it okay okay so I’ve I’ve got a happy with uh the wraparounds and the uh with wrap around MCA and with the rainbow logo that’s earlier all right that’s that’s an earlier one so the first release should be with no watermarks Charles the first release is like is the black box right of Animal House yeah yeah because it’s such an old movie I was trying to try to remember if they had a if they had the Black Box Animal House um much like with us like with uh psycho and Jaws yeah the ones that were yeah we’re talking about well I think I have a copy somewhere I because I remember seeing a copy I think it was like open though but uh yeah we’re talking about ones that look like this everybody ones that were kind of like yeah yeah um I I can’t recall if there’s animal else but if somebody knows off Chan go and shoot it in the chat I can’t remember does it look like this maybe I’m an idiot I don’t know oh actually there was yeah that’s it um so yeah you would see this one without the first release that’s the first release yeah so ideally you would see this one without watermarks you would then see this one at one point with an MCA side watermark you would see this one transition to a new Rainbow box uh with a heavier tape with no watermark then it would have a wrap around Watermark and then it would be side water March probably with the movie Mogul after that so there’s a ladder in one was it a VHS or a beta it was going over auction that was a V8 VHS okay that’s a little easier than to kind of date raid because the beta they use the beta for that same box for like ever you know the beta didn’t really move that well so I think they used this beta box the bait in this box up to like 87.

They used it so look at that knowledge uh a little cars action I hate this [ __ ] yeah all right everybody wants cars everybody wants this tape you know it’s it’s a rare tape but this is what Disney movie hi Punisher I um yeah I don’t I mean I I don’t really want to talk about all this but yeah this is the Disney tape you want I guess you know the history of violence is the last official Major motion picture and uh I think I saw a soul one um recently on eBay for 300 300 300 yesterday 390 I think it’s what 390 yeah yeah there is one um in auction tooth for Blade Runner School Blade Runner eight of Max do yeah it’s up to you it’s a nice copy um yeah you cannot go wrong with Blade Runner yeah nice early box that you know I wasn’t fair about Embassy is I love those little stickers they stuck on the top and we’re just talking about I think that one what does it have on there the the real deal or whatever yeah real deal yeah yeah the real deal is an event for you guys um I’m just kind of looking through a Ghostbusters there’s always one on Ray Star Wars is always in one right um always Star Wars always Rocky because because this is signed by Stallone no way yeah that’s a cool copy it’s an early copy too it’s an early two-tone look at his signature that’s good for I mean they probably they probably pay they probably paid him more to sign it I think he did I think he did that from a private signing and I think he was charging like 500 a signature so I think yeah no I think it was more I think I think it was like 750 or a thousand so you still haven’t even paid for this literature yet yeah yeah so and you have a thousand dollar tape here probably too so so that’s that’s a good point because Michael Keaton just came out with signatures and his is like 500 or anything to get a Michael Keaton signature on something so just FYI you know this person probably has like two grand into this tape maybe maybe if they bought it and but it’s a beautiful tape I wouldn’t mind hey it’s a beautiful amount give it it’s a beautiful treat I mean nothing wrong I mean it’s great grade science yeah and a sign too that’s that’s the dopest part about it like I I wouldn’t I how was the rocky how would the the degradation you think of the because we talk about that in comics right you know when you sign a comic or something like it’ll bleed through eventually because it’s graded well this will will the the acetones on the ink will like eat through the paper or eat through the seal anybody know that nobody knows that I can’t imagine I would be more worried about it just fading than anything oh man movie Mogul was a little bit later I found their ad slip here only you that’s like it’s from February 8th 1986.

okay um starting March 20th MCA will introduce movie moguls limited time only offering 20 blockbuster hits what’s funny is this is an 86 ad slick but most of the movies are still like rainbow covers on it and stuff a little Top Gun that we care about Top Gun then we can what do we know about this they’re variant variant cover yes this is one that sold for 10 grand about 18 months ago it is greater higher uh well I don’t know about 18 months ago there was a little bit higher the I know Heritage sold one about it was our first instruction auction for like 10 grand and it was a nicer copy though I think it was an eight five IGS at the time but I mean even it’s kind of a big gap between that one I think this one’s a little underpriced but maybe there for the grade okay I think the Kroger one is cooler but oh I love that Kroger one man yeah okay uh Jaws we always see jaws right here no big deal uh making a Star Wars that is an amazing tape okay that is a cool tape before Empire Strikes Back came out so I mean the fact that it’s advertising yeah see see your preview of Empire Strikes Back I mean that’s that’s really cool and that’s technically one of the fur I think that is the first Star Wars Thing released on any home media release because this predates the them actually releasing Star Wars the release yeah so I mean really if you if you like Star Wars I mean and this is the only way you could see any remnants of it in your house for a couple of years so it’s so cool to ape and the fact it has a sticker on the front still and as the watermarks in the back I think this should be this should be a lot more um this is probably if not the rarest tape they have in this auction in my opinion this is so cool really yeah I think anybody If You’re a Star Wars fan this at this price is ridiculous I mean I think this should be the there should be a lot more uh in my opinion I mean this is a this is a beta right I mean it’s a it’s a beta this is beautiful though I mean it’s got everything you want on there uh I would love to see this at 2500 bucks I mean really I think this should be 2500 bucks um at a low end as a beta I think that’s a low end I mean this should be at the equal price of like an original release Star Wars if you have one on VHS that’d be my opinion maybe about half the price of an original release it’s just so rare you don’t see them you know I’ve never I didn’t know this existed and look at the grade on it though I mean look at the grade on the thing it’s beautiful I think well I agree with you Charles but for the for the Star Wars collector if you’re going for something you will go for the original movie first because to me to have the making of Star Wars that’s just not the movie it’s just the making of the movie so yeah it’s not the movie but man but can you imagine if you love Empire’s price back in the front it’s like see your preview of Empire Strikes Back it’s yeah but then yeah you know with uh I’ll get what you’re saying though yeah like the the first Blood you know with uh there is one that is just the trailer and a lot of people I agree with you but servers fans are crazy too really cool tape a really cool cover I agree with you an original Star Wars I mean we’re talking that’s a 50 000 tape though I mean I don’t think this will ever be a 50 000 tape at all but I think this should be at least you know this should be two grand three grand you know I don’t think this is gonna be a drawer box Star Wars price but this is we call this the Prototype Star Wars yeah it’s just like you think about the time like nobody could get like you love Star Wars if it wasn’t showing at a theater you weren’t you weren’t watching Star Wars unless you had the little eight millimeter reel for some reason at your house you know that they sold little 20-minute home video version but it’s so cool though cool tape guys if you love Star Wars I’m gonna say they may land in somebody’s hands who doesn’t want to get rid of it you may not see another one you know interesting here we go another Conan though 4 30 4 30.

sing one like uh Comic Connect this is uh this is not a rainbow one though but we got a VHS though so this is a little bit later at least but look at the grade on that six nine six that thing is strong Queen but the rainbow is better than this the rainbows earlier the rainbows were uh I think that rainbow was a was it a beta though right I don’t know yes yeah yeah that was a beta it’s still rare though but this with this grade this is early this is a cool tape I mean this is really cool if you like Conan this is probably the cleanest copy you’re gonna you’re gonna find of this release others like specific second release of MCA I mean this thing is though it’s cool I don’t know whose tape this is but uh whoever the owner of this one has cut this in really great shape wherever they found it or whatever this to me like when I see something this old that’s a nine six I mean there’s no way I would think this was found like in a thrift store or something this had to be from somebody who bought this and like displayed it at the time or something you see that Grandma’s this is from Grandma’s yard sale man it’s my dad no joking I love grandma if I walked to Grandma’s yard sale she was like I got all these gyms that are open Ed I’ll be like oh Grandma I love you I’m official let’s go let’s go let’s go yeah okay okay no but I think Pulp Fiction is in the level of Fight Club where it’s a couple of 90s movies that is always gonna be that there’s Tarantino you know it’s a classic movie so there’s always gonna be demand for this tape in my opinion this one um I think a lot of people I think some people have convinced people this is a lot rarer than it is you know Pulp Fiction it’s it’s still cool tape I would say if you’re if you’re a Tarantino fan yeah I mean you should have one in your your collection but I know I like the demo copy of this because it has that other cover art on the front of them all standing around like at the back so I don’t know it’s a cool tape though it’s Pulp Fiction you can’t knock it uh we’re going we’re in most of the three Raiders that’s that’s Jackson yeah that’s your team no that is not mine mine is in a different auction house this is the first release it is yeah that should be Sprint let’s go betamax this should be a thousand dollar tape at least I mean this is a tape that again about a year and a half ago was on beta selling for five six thousand bucks so yeah this was a tape so I mean I think this is I I think this is kind of underpriced now I mean I I think we’re gonna we’re in a market right now with a lot of tapes where we had prices at the time but I think right now is a good time for a lot of these I mean 400 to get into a copy of right I don’t think it’s gonna sell for this but I mean even you gotta think of it even a thousand or fifteen hundred dollars to get into a copy of first release Raiders is so cool 25 is the absolute highest dish itself or the highest I have to agree with you yeah and I think even at that price it’s an amazing deal I mean this being a 995 beautiful Watermark it’s important oh I I don’t think I think even at two grand I think you’re going into it okay that I think even if you sell it you could probably still get two grand for it I mean I don’t I I think I know tapes have dropped but I don’t think I don’t think see this selling for less than that again this is a common market right like it’s soft but the but the mega book or the mega tapes are still you know I guess yeah I mean it’s always going to be hot you know Raiders is always going to be hot Goonies is always going to be hot Grandma’s is always going to be hot they’re the ones people want going on um uh Commando another another nightmare yeah a later nightmare um Halloween second release no yeah that was a second Wall Street was hello Wall Street 210 why is that 210 is it white watermarks or blue I mean Apollo’s gonna love this no white no white thing thank God but really I mean that that should be uh that should be the same price as the Halloween above it 260.

that Halloween’s a great great uh Italians are Great Value too I would say whoever buys that though please please open that up and remove that sticker on the front it will increase the volume of that immediately okay uh Clockwork Orange at 2 10 we’re under 200s now Spirit Away some of these are still a little low I mean that Clockwork is a beautiful one that chinatown’s nice let’s see who signed this one I always like sign stuff Chevy Chase I think his was his autograph was like a [ __ ] ton of money too like thousand bucks or 750 something stupid damn we’ve been seeing a lot more of these hit the market I guess for everybody watching we’ve been seeing a lot more of these signature ones at the market and really people like Chevy Chase they they do conventions I mean yeah worldwide so I mean really don’t get caught up you know and Chip being signed by Chevy Chase do your do a little bit of research and how much they charge for the autograph first some of these people charge a lot for an autograph so I mean I think like you said Chevy Chase is a like a 500 signature so you know it’s it’s cool to get into but definitely I mean I don’t know how I feel about having like rare early releases signed by people I mean I see some of the people they’re like oh it’s the first release I’m like oh don’t yeah that’s a good point Chad because I will say if you get some if you’re a true fan of the actor and or the movie you want to get like a movie prop you know like uh Freddy Krueger or Globe you know stuff like that but I just saw somebody one of my one of my friends on Instagram he got the Freddy Krueger um I don’t want to misspeak I think it was the costume maybe I don’t know oh cool it was it was dope he’s a good guy too yeah anything from the movie itself is worth it if you get a sign but the VHS uh will still remains to be seen if he’s if it’s worth it especially if it’s a later release like like chocolate oh blackshop I’ll show it to you guys yeah yeah you got a little blackout yeah he has the the glove sign right yeah but he just picked this boy up oh yes oh it’s the souls drop from oh it’s good yeah yeah some part three that’s three from Dream Warriors yeah that was up at auction that’s a cool prop yeah dude but no I was gonna say that that Chevy Chase one’s pretty cool though even the tape is a cool tape uh I mean it’s a it’s a wrap around water it’s a wrap around Warner tape so it’s still a cool tape so I mean I think that’s a cool thing to have have sitting up somewhere uh uh screaming scream is signed by who I know I like a screen for sure I can definitely say that’s the correct signature I know her signature um it’s a cool copy though I saw that one and I thought about bidding on it too just because it’s it’s so clean screams another one I I have a few copies sealed to scream uh probably about a dozen do you have any any promos Charles or all these or the blue um so I’ve got most of these I’ve got one promo and I’ve got a Canadian one too and the Canadian one’s cool because the Canadian one’s the only one that had this like bright silver scream on the front so it was like reflective when you looked at it um I mean the problem like I have a few but they’re like I say about 10 of them are kind of beat up like this is a tape that was kind of thrown around a lot I think like yeah so seeing them in these nice higher grades is cool um nice copy though nice copy that Jaws is cool I like the the blue covers guys for a screen okay oh yeah yeah good call out yeah there’s the three variant covers of scream that are the blue covers they had brought out all right let’s go over that Josh three oh my God it’s so low 360 bucks it looks the best movie I’m very into this um it’s the first print I didn’t know that I’d wrap around no it’s a side Watermark one so that’s a that’s a that’s a later one but yeah it looks a little faded on the front doesn’t it I know a stereo that makes it really early yeah I kind of like the same one they had psycho too but there would still be a wrap if it’s an early one wrap around not yeah yeah I did yeah they would have one similar to that Jaws 2 that was um above it there it’s still really cool that Jaws 2 is amazing though for that price oh yeah we’ll see I’m trying uh uh yeah that’s a true second release too you know even the first release of Jaws and Jaws 2 they did they didn’t release a whole like you think it would it was popular but I mean there wasn’t a whole crap ton of them left over on the um the original Black Box released I mean it was a tape that was expensive people opened it up third printing them with the red MPA yeah that’s the third one okay I’ll give you guys a little movie trivia on this one uh so The Big Lebowski uh my aunt Uncle actually in this movie in the very first scene when they like panned into the movie theater oh nice oh my God are they okay so my my aunt and uncle um they live in California and uh they just went to the bowling alley with a bunch of friends and they’re like seniors and they were just like hey you guys want to be in a movie they’re like sure like I don’t know like I’m just here and uh they painted me and my dad my my mama watched like oh my that’s my uncle uh Mary and Uncle John I can’t believe yeah uh that’s cool fit on this one Dino please this one’s cool this one it’s a promo copy isn’t it yeah yeah get it do you know come on Dino go for it that’s right this one is a polygram water marked on the bottom and it’s uh yeah this is again it’s not rare it’s like like Charles said like 90s it’s a lot of these out there but the movie is a classic so it should be at least 300 400 500 range yeah and I would say this one and as you’re getting into the 90s you want one so we keep saying promo you want ones that are promotional because those are the ones that were like sent to the video stores first right so the videos are people they send them to the video store owners they’ll get our movie here’s this movie it’s amazing come purchase 400 copies at 100 a piece or whatever but so when they were the the thing about this though is they didn’t get paid for being in the movie they just got like free catering I mean I’ve worked for two I’d work for chicken wings yeah I mean it’s cool uh they said that people were really nice too everybody was really nice um um so a couple a couple below this the Heritage has a flight club that you want the the screener copy yes sir no let’s go so also it has that amazing sticker on the front too that says includes bonus Flight Club uh oh yeah feature that’s a cool little I mean that’s so that’s a sticker that’s rare in itself because that was only on that little copy so hell yeah this is a copy if you like FICO this is what you want I mean this is the demo copy it’s it’s still real real watermarked on the back too so okay I’ve got a copy but it doesn’t have the fox easy sticker on it does that yeah does that mean anything so you know uh those are on the outside so they would fall off dude I have my wife when you’re here on Saturday here you go so that’s that’s only going for 155 bucks right now yeah that’s really that’s really low yeah yeah we’re not almost 100 400 500.

Yeah, we’re in 150. there’s a couple of Heritage that are way too low look like you’re getting below here like go back up like look at that Return of the Dragon that’s a drawer box Return of the Dragon that’s so that’s so rarely yeah that’s so rare that’s at 100 bucks I’m like that is let me tell you guys that when you get to this era of VHS so these are the drawer boxes these are these are so rare that if you find these they should always they should have the CBS watermarks in fact regardless of the title you should pick it up because they’re I mean you don’t know the movie okay but they’re they’re all rare this is back and these were expensive it’s so hard to find this fraternal dragon is so cool look at the grade on it that thing damn uh do we need to go down any further you think I’m in a hundred bucks I mean I mean I think they have way too much stuff at that low that’s that’s honest this is interesting this is a movie ticket ticket so I saw something they were doing on there which is which is really cool is these are Japanese tickets and Japan’s kind of known for doing really cool movie tickets I mean they still do this you find these out there but these premieres and I think they’re cool they’re collectible I guess they’re grading them and offering them for sale now I mean 76 bucks that’s only a one so it’s not a ten obviously but I mean so it’s a stub I think it’s not the full ticket somebody ripped it or however they did it like I don’t know what they have well because it’s uh yeah so the automatically graders are one if a tickets torn I believe it would be considered incomplete I’ve never had any of these but I kind of these kind of caught my eye because like I collect like Japanese tapes and stuff I think these are cool I mean they have cool artwork on them um but honestly Heritage has a lot of stuff that’s currently under 100 bucks that’s way too low I mean like they have a dune that’s like 105 and I just saw that yeah yeah you know it’s uh there’s a there’s a Lord of the Rings it’s like 50 bucks that that should be there’s a Jaws 2 beta early release in there too is that Lord of the Rings yeah look at that thing that’s a but was that a good movie that when it was for Elise oh but I mean that’s a thorna Mia a clam that’s rare anyway that’s that’s yeah that’s about what that was if you just for inflation that’s what that was new anyway so you’re just you’re just buying it again yeah uh I’ve seen very few of these sealed though and I don’t know I would think that Tolkien fans would want this you know it’s almost as bad as Harry Potter fans right we just love that stuff such a cool bit I don’t know I mean I think Heritage has a lot of stuff that is way too underpriced I mean there’s a not a living dead beta that’s 38 there’s an there’s a Dolph Lundgren signed one there’s all that stuff it’s like what I did did anybody see that the the last Heritage VHS auction like the tapes went way low it was terrible yeah it was bad I think I think it was it was what was that the Superman one with George no it was the third one this was the fourth one okay okay yeah I I don’t know I think I I hate to say it like it I don’t want it I guess I don’t want to compare it to nfts because that’s kind of like a bad thing but it’s like it had it’s like 15 minutes of fame and all of a sudden it just dropped for some reason you want to show the golden real quick or no uh no we’ll do golden says 16 days we’ll do it later okay tapes have dropped a lot um I I don’t know I think a lot of stuff in the market has dropped though I mean if you look I think a lot of stuff curling the market is dropped but I still like tapes I mean I still think tapes are cool um Heritage has a lot of really cool stuff in their auction I mean I’m not even I I’m not promoting any of my stuff too I’m just pulling out stuff that’s cool like they even have those uh Mida Beatles station there that’s not mine but those beetles tapes are so rare I mean those are the reason why Mida had to change their name to Media home entertainment is one of the reasons because they went through a lawsuit from those about using unlicensed Beatles footage that’s one of the reasons why they change the name was changed so I mean the fact those are inner sealed it’s so cool I was gonna ask you about those um what should those be going for I don’t I don’t even know how to price those but right now they’re at thirty dollars and I don’t think they should be thirty dollars um I think I mean we’re talking about a tape that’s part of media history I mean this is a tape from 1978 this is the dawn of Home media and it’s a tape that launched controversy because you know they started understanding these tapes that needed to be licensed a little bit better and it caused the company to change their name and at thirty dollars I mean I think honestly I think that’s something that should be like in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame somewhere put up on like Beatles memorabilia but I would hope it would be at least a three thousand dollar tape I mean that one there can’t be that many of them sitting around I mean you’re talking about these are the first uh these are the first tapes that hit the market for sale in 1978 some of the first batches of tapes you know it’s so beyond rare I mean this is not a tape that’s like you know everybody’s bidding on the copy of a Fight Club you know we’re talking about things that are so insanely ungodly rare that whoever has is very lucky to pick it up I I know the the open guys collectors they collect those media boxes they they horror stuff science fiction everything in those media boxes bad media Mida boxes you know it started off as Mida um some people call it meta I used to call it meta the guy who started the company Charles band corrected me he correctly oh wow okay the guy who started the company corrected me I was having a conversation with him this year so it’s Mida so it’s like it’s called Mida so I know the official name but uh because that was the name of their wife right his name of his wife yeah that was the name of his ex-wife so um cool interesting though but so if you’re looking at Heritage I’m going to tell you that how we were mentioning this like night and day like the stuff it comiconnect like there’s some really cool stuff and we’re looking at first but it’s like 80 stuff that doesn’t need to really be in an auction whereas heritage heritage has a as a bundle of stuff that all deserves to be in an auction in my opinion majority of it starts to be in an auction and it’s way too low way way too low so go figure yeah I disagree with you Dino a little bit on comparison with the nfts again it’s like I said you know VHS for the popular stuff for our generation especially Generation X like if you’re between 42 to 57 yeah uh you’re always going to have that little place in your heart for for Back to the Future Ghostbusters Gremlins do you think it’s like comic books in like like modern variants or like down but like classic rage right well now the bar is is gonna be set low so that is actually the good news in my opinion so now the market it can only go up I think it’s only going to go up I think we had a lot of I think we had a lot of almost Panic rising at the beginning when people wanted stuff and people were bidding on stuff that wasn’t really rare like driving up prices just because there wasn’t a lot of accurate knowledge out there so people were just looking at covers they’re like oh this has got to be rare this movie’s old it’s like no no it’s not that rare yeah yeah and the Savvy people kind of were like you know like like we even talk about like people like Mikey who are really smart in this [ __ ] like yeah people who were like real Savvy were like oh no I’m betting on this because I know it’s going to be yada yada yada I yeah sorry go ahead sorry no real quick like in my opinion one of the biggest problems for VHS to overcome it’s gonna be the many different companies out there because when you give people too many choices they don’t they’re not gonna make a choice what’s up like Charles right who like he knows so much about everything we’re everybody’s still learning about the stuff it’s like it’s like we just talked about the movie mobile stuff nobody in the world knows that stuff besides maybe Charles but I’m talking about like rewind oh yeah did you see IGS PGA Beckett you’re giving me too many too many choices like in our world right it’s in the comic world there’s only three right PGX cbcs and czc and I mean that’s I mean others out there Halo we won’t talk about that but I mean most of it it’s like three three and that’s it kind of and we all kind of know it you know yeah PGA PGX is garbage yeah that’s right yeah you know in the community you don’t even I mean you mention it but you know you don’t even go there you will crack it open because you know you don’t want to have it there so VHS has to kind of in my opinion overcome that because five different grading companies is just not good unfortunately for new collectors to come in and make decisions that’s my opinion I I totally agree with you I think that it’s a grading but honestly it’s a lot of these a lot of the auction companies too and I don’t want to bash anybody but most exhaustion companies they I guess it could fall on grading companies too but like we know there’s a lot of very variants of these VHS tapes out there there’s not a lot of like knowledge so people just put stuff up and have assumptions and there’s not accurate knowledge so like I think a lot of people are scared because they don’t know which one to buy and I think that the only way to get people to keep bidding is to be like Heritage if you read Heritage there are their auction descriptions are to the T like okay this I this should be a second release because it’s your first release Box nobody else does it they’re like this is an 82 release you know and you see that for auction oh it says 82 from IGS so it’s 1982 very similar like we talk about a lot of these because it’s a lot of people like oh I’ve got this tape it’s got to be worth that it’s like no you’ve got the same with books you’ve got the 43rd edition of tape it’s like it looks the same but sorry yeah but eventually that’s what’s gonna be like with with Charles says it’s gonna be that combination of the the auction houses figuring out what’s good to put out there plus the grading companies also and then and this could take years right guys I mean you got you guys you guys like you said here’s I’ve been doing this for I mean what are we doing this we’re doing this greatest stuff so let’s do 20 but 2020 I think I’ll be doing it now and it’s been I’m gonna say it’s harder now than it was three years ago but I think that it’s finally getting to a point where people are listening and the right collectors are out there because I mean all I do is taste you guys can tell that’s all I do I mean I’ve been doing this for 20 years I’m not going to stop so I love it I love my upgraded tapes yeah that’s cool and it’s like you know it’s like new collector I’m just saying it’s gonna take a new collector a year it’s like for Comics too it’s like you can’t just go in like you know what nine eight means and we we talk about our shows little comics and stuff it’s like it’s gonna be just that much with tapes like yeah and by the way one one other thing is is the difference between the the OG collectors of open tapes versus the CU collectors just because they want to have the sealed tape there is like a Grand Canyon Gap in between those two the the horror guys they don’t embrace the seal community and the seal Community they don’t know I love both you’re cool Charles you’re one of them that’s both because I’m like you you’ve got a mix of two you’re the best because I think they’re both you know they’re both should be respected in their own right yeah I’ve got sealed stuff because something that’s sealed I’m like that’s 40 45 years old it shouldn’t be open at this point it should be graded and put up but also a nice open copy is amazing because that’s also 45 years old and shouldn’t be played but it should be kept and restored but it’s like right it’s like you have you have the collector and you have a Speculator and the collectors hate the Speculator because they’re buying every you know it’s just like you know this is a good good point you know that’s that’s kind of like the the whole because VHS we have to admit it man the horror guys kept it alive right when when it ended in 2006 nobody cared about Back to the Future like if you got the DVD yeah that’s it I’m gonna watch it on DVD why would I why would I have the VHS or even going in like my my era like 2010 like you could illegally get movies on your on your on your PC you don’t even need physical media anymore at some point you just download like I had it forever what the [ __ ] you know in in 4k or 1080p or whatever the latest HD whatever the hell it was back in the day yeah yeah and a lot of these got trashed around that time I mean at this point where a lot is like nobody cared about original release of Back to the Future but I mean Kmart party was burying them in I mean bury him in the goddamn Back 40 of wherever they you know like damn so I don’t know like I’ve I’ve always been on both parts and I don’t I guess I’ve never really been a Speculator I just buy whatever I think looks cool and I’m like that’s a cool movie and his tapes are hard I’ve been doing this for a long time and I still figure stuff out I still find stuff and I’m like oh that’s cool I didn’t know that oh my God that’s awesome it’s just you know it’s worth 10 cents Dino yeah I know yeah you you rent them and then they put them in the trash I mean that was that was the comic books back in the 1930s and 40s well and then you and then and then they repurpose all that paper and they had Wars and it’s like stuff like that that people don’t really really get into and it’s like you know yeah I just think that for Via chess for Our Generation if you’re between 42 and 57 and then you you multiply that or add that another 10 15 years the market is gonna be there because we’re gonna be retiring a lot of the guys arguably you’re gonna have more obviously money and then you’re gonna long for those things like I’m gonna loan for that Ghostbusters tape and then you got a generation you get a generation before you where you know that generation is like Robbie the robot like toys and stuff like that stuff that was like you know but in that newer generation I think you’re going to want it because newer generation thinks the whole idea of physical media is weird and I think you have somebody in their you know 20s who’s never even seen a disc and they’re like What’s this thing this is cool as my favorite movie like yes like vinyl right vinyl came back like 2020 like it was like one of the biggest years in final now that was covid and people don’t have anything to do so it’s like oh I remember vinyl or that you see final players and it’s like you know people buying boxes of vinyl now and look all the comic book guys now they they embrace the comic books and they didn’t grow up with the comic books from the from the drugstore you know from from that era but you embraced it I think VHS is gonna be the same the young girls and young guys that they’re they’re gonna see oh yeah I can watch Back to the Future on Netflix but then when they see the VHS yeah that special appeal and John Z’s got young kids and he’s uh they’re like 12 12 13 14.

they’re watching movies and they think it’s funny because they watch movies that he thinks are cool from back in the day and they think it’s hilarious like some kind of funny video this everybody just just jump on and take a look at some of the stuff because I’m sitting here looking at the Heritage there’s there’s like a a magnetic video city lights for three dollars there’s a cheap copy of Real Genius for three dollars that’s cheap there’s a first release pumpkin head for three dollars there’s uh I want that one Canon video One Flew for cuckoo’s nest for three dollars I’m like these are all tapes that should be a lot more all right this is it’s still it’s still a buyer’s market right now I think it’s there’s a lot of good stuff out there I would say just don’t be afraid of some of this stuff you know and it’s time it needs time to mature a little more because again that happened with comics and when cgc came out and it was a huge backlash against cgc nobody wanted to have a comic book inside a a tomb case and then the market was just gradually kept growing VHS is gonna be similar but with the really good stuff in my opinion and horror stuff also it’s gonna be big in this it’s the right tapes yeah yeah the auctions need to be directed to like the right taste but honestly a lot of it is a lot of these auctions and Grady companies I don’t think have I’m not gonna be me but the most knowledgeable people for VHS and beta we’re gonna get there they don’t know what they don’t know yet you know yeah I don’t know they don’t know you’re very good so I think they need to invest a little bit more in their staff and get people who know that what they’re doing and that’s going to help you know it doesn’t have to be a VHS expert I’m talking about people who know how to write a description of like what this tape is you know do a little bit of research and say this is a tape you should buy yeah and I’ll say the only people I’ve seen doing that is Heritage does it really well you know let me let me ask Jackson real quick Jackson is a young kid like so you you will you’re like a mid 90s so why do you like VHS Jackson what do you like about it my parents had all the classic tapes when I was a kid so I watched those and then some of these tapes that you haven’t seen then now that you have them you want to watch them on VHS or you’re trying to stream them like The Godfather like old movies like all movies are before your time yeah you need to catch up you know because obviously you’re young you still have a lot of movies that you haven’t seen yeah there’s a lot I haven’t seen and Carter like what do you like about VHS Carter like what do you like about the all the stuff that you’re already like you accumulated some amazing stuff my man oh um well I grew up with VHS so a lot of this is definitely what I grew up with I was on the tail end of VHS but I still remember it I remember blank tapes like recording all the wrestlemanias from like three through all the Royal Rumbles and all that crazy [ __ ] like that was that was my Heyday like would you collect that do you know like uh a couple of seal of those wrestling events they’re tough yeah they’re getting tough I I mentioned last time we did it bash at the beach 2000 or 96 with a 96 card or 96 I think we were talking about the first NWO and all of a sudden it just showed up and I didn’t see it and I should have bought it for like 30 bucks and somebody graded and flipped it for like 200 on me but what would be the grail for the wrestling fans um WrestleMania one WrestleMania three Royal Rumble 92 96 is okay um what is the first one with the rock oh boy what was that like his first appearance I guess that will be kind of collectible yeah um we came out I think it was Survivor Series uh 96.

96.6 is the rock okay yeah but he was Rocky my Avia so he looked like uh he looked like this it wasn’t even like the rock when like when we so he had a gimmick that was like he was like Samoan kind of like you know but he debuted at Survivor Series in 96. so it wasn’t a rock it wasn’t the rock no he was uh I’ve got that same outfit do you think I uh no I mean so there’s there’s definitely like crazy moments of wrestling like like Stone Cold Steve Austin and stuff like that but but Wrestling tapes are weird because when you talk geographically about wrestling in general um so yeah Japan and you had America right so people in Japan really didn’t see a lot of stuff in America and vice versa so what people would do is trade tapes across Seas or whatever so a lot of the sealed wrestling [ __ ] from like I guess I would call it maybe WrestleMania one and back was like that’s all open that’s probably non-existent because it wasn’t like it was on closed circuit you’d had to like like if you wanted to record it back in the day right you had to get a blank BC VCR I mean they weren’t really doing distribution rights and then WrestleMania won like that that’s so harder to find because everybody was either watching that closed circuit or you know but this is my opinion when it comes to the rest of them but there are some key moments you know I don’t know wrestling’s I’ll listen to you oh thanks thanks oh yeah me and Carter just went to SummerSlam actually yeah like two weeks ago so uh no it’s cool it’s um there’s definitely some cool cool things in wrestling it just it’s just tough to get stuff it’s gonna be rare stuff um really going to be rare oh there we go instead of comics apartment on IG put up some great IGS VHS so you guys want to check that out there’s some cool stuff here but son of comics son of comics with a K son of comics comics yeah well I got a question for you guys before you go okay so you got a tape that’s dinged up on the side oh we’re crushed yeah but that’s something like that but it’s pretty it’s a pretty hard to find tape but it’s still everybody got beat up right you always like karate right yeah yes so I mean what do you do with that no 8.0 pressing machine I generally open it put it in your Panini brush how about we opened this copy of Network right now let’s go let’s go live on it 500.
