Following the Newtown, Conn., shooting, Walmart, the country’s largest gun retailer, pulled an online gun ad but did not halt firearm sales. After initially declining the White House’s invitation, Walmart representatives will be meeting tomorrow with Vice President Joe Biden’s gun control task force.

And what’s more, Walmart has teamed up with Mayors Against Illegal Guns and will adopt the “Responsible Firearms Retailer Partnership.”

It will certainly be interesting to see what comes out of tomorrow’s meeting, but one thing’s for sure: Walmart aligning itself with President Obama and gun control zealots isn’t likely to win over gun owners.
