Wisconsin Democrat to hand out KKK hoods at Republican convention

http://twitter.com/#!/BrettHulseyWI/status/461984122177458176 We assume that’s supposed to read “party hats,” not “party hates,” but Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial candidate Brett Hulsey seems to have hate on the brain. As reported by the Wisconsin State Journal, Hulsey plans to hand out Ku Klux Klan hoods at the state’s Republican convention this weekend. The Journal reports that the hoods are “hand-made from recycled material,” so at least they’re eco-friendly. Not even the state Democrat Party is on board, saying that “this type of behavior has no place in the public dialogue.” More […]

‘You don’t want to go there’: Eric Holder lashes out at Louie Gohmert

http://twitter.com/#!/charliespiering/status/453567580591378433 There were plenty of questions for Attorney General Eric Holder Tuesday at a House Hearing on Oversight of the Department of Justice. Fox News’ Shannon Bream and Breitbart’s Charlie Spiering were watching and live-tweeted much of the hearing. Perhaps the most heated exchange was between Texas Rep. Louis Gohmert and Holder. “You don’t want to go there, buddy,” Holder warned Gohmert when he brought up the vote to hold Holder in contempt of Congress. http://twitter.com/#!/charliespiering/status/453567778315042816 South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy provided plenty of fireworks as he questioned Holder. http://twitter.com/#!/charliespiering/status/453578044859777024 http://twitter.com/#!/charliespiering/status/453570165419282432 […]

Report: John McCain ‘good-naturedly’ calls colleague Bob Corker ‘traitor’

http://twitter.com/#!/PeterNicholas3/status/383696608073756672 It would be a worthwhile news story just to hear that Sen. John McCain said something good-naturedly, especially to a fellow Republican. But for McCain to call fellow Sen. Bob Corker — also absent from the list of 19 Republicans who voted against cloture and Obamacare — a “traitor,” even as a joke, just goes to show where McCain proudly stands between the aisles of the Senate. He wasn’t so good-natured when he labeled Sen. Ted Cruz and company “wacko birds,” and this morning Corker accused Cruz and Sen. […]

Van Jones sees similarities between Rand Paul and the Ku Klux Klan

http://twitter.com/#!/VanJones68/status/312339119625883648 Given his history, it should surprise no one when Van Jones makes racially incendiary remarks. However, he may have found a new low by suggesting similarities between Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and the Ku Klux Klan. The fracas started when Jones re-tweeted a tweet implying that Sen. Paul does not object to racism: Sen. Paul has stated, on libertarian grounds, that it may not be within government’s purview to prevent people from engaging in racism on private property. That, however,  doesn’t indicate that he approves of […]
